Given the USA's talent pool and NCAA opportunities which give wannabe-elites a chance to aim for something even if elite doesn't work out, the USA most definitely should be dominant for a good bit of time. Not sold on Tom either. His strategy seems very poor. It's only been working because Simone gives the US such a buffer that they can absorb falls. I do think that had Marta been in charge, McCallum would not be on the main team.

Konnors IG live tonight was juicy 
I loved how a bunch of LSU athletes (non gymnastics one) joined the chat. They brought Alyona on as well. It was basically a full blown LSU chat room

She didn’t say anything in particular but def showed a lot of LSU love and hinted at things. Talked about Dunne and Alyona being her host when she visits in a few months. Arenas, and other LSU athletes jumped in. She talked about Jay briefly. Very little was talked about any other school besides LSU. Outside of that they talked about the elite camps in the past.

That was the first of her Lives that I actually watched in it’s entirety. Funny that they were recruiting Liv Greaves as well. Interesting that she said she had a school in mind but wasn’t ready to announce yet.
And Alyona was hilarious. Some of those camp stories were funny. And did u see where Konnor said that she’s asked Jay a bunch of question already and was afraid to keep asking him stuff! Alyona was like “just ask me and I’ll ask Jay.” Thought that was a good sign. Also, Konnor pinned a lot of comments regarding LSU. Thought that was a good sign as well.

Konnor joked that Olivia greaves has committed somewhere but Olivia said she hasn’t. I couldn’t gauge olivia’s interest in LSU. Is she visiting?

Not sure if she is visiting however if Konnor commits there, I can see her visiting and committing as well, especially since both are close with Aleah, Alyona, Livvy, Elena, and know Caitlin Smith and Maddie Rau well.

More competition for the title which would push our girls to be even better. It could also boost scores across the conference since the intensity and cleanliness would improve. That would make 9 SEC gym teams meaning one session of SEC Champs would have 5 teams (most likely the later session same as Big 10) meaning there would be a 5 rotation meet with a bye for each team. There are pluses and minuses to this but I overall see it as a good thing

I actually look forward to OU meet coming to BR in the future.

Anyone totally uninterested in Olympic gymnastics this year? This team seems very underwhelming to me. I’m most excited about suni and mykayla and she’s already out. Just me?

I feel like the Olympics in general this year is pretty dry and not much excitement maybe because of no fans? It’s not the same.
