Of course. She is from Papillion, a suburb of Omaha. I didn't know she had originally committed there. Will miss watching her in the SEC

The good news about Jordy Bahl transferring from Oklahoma, we will not see her in the SEC.

They also lost Sophia Nugent to the portal today, she would have been next years catcher. I assume she is leaving for playing time, since they had her in RF some but not behind the plate. Covid really has it all messed up for this last year. Then the coaches will be back to 4 year plans.

A catcher certainly would help keep Newland in the outfield but if she isn't willing to sit behind Hansen for one more year at OU with what all they have going on over there, she probably wants to go somewhere where she is guaranteed to start.

Well even if Carson can comeback healthy enough and Bergeron still questionable as an SEC talent and those being the only 2 ahead of her, that may be enough of an obstacle in her way here..........or she could feel she could definitely beat out those 2

LSU needs to try and poach Corine Poncho off of the McNeese team. She, single handedly, carried McNeese offensively in their last few games. She platooned early in the year and started to get some regular playing time towards the end. I’m hearing the only reason she wasn’t more highly recruited was because of grades. I’m not sure how true that is. She was a teammate of Maci and Abigail at ND and broke the National home run record her senior year. I’m not sure if she’s in the portal but it wouldn’t surprise me if she enters. Here are her stats from this year.
