You got to go with Dunne in this scenario. That’s a big spot with little experience for Cowen. It might work out but would completely be rolling the dice where Dunne has been solid.

I hate it for Alyona - but she has consistently been our drop score (I think) when we haven’t had a fall. That dismount is going to be skuaghteted tonight and it also artificially deflates Haleigh’s score, because a 9.9 is great after a 9.75

Lexi Zeiss was scratched from the DTB Challenge for precautionary reasons according to her mother on Twitter.

Zoe Miller is leading bars and nailed her beam routine. So proud of Zoe our future Tiger!

Auburn won the first session of SECs with a 197.100. They are very lucky to have won with a low 197. I seriously doubt that holds up unless all 4 teams implode tonight. I know scoring can be tighter in the first session.

Suni was out again. Is she just done?

I wouldn’t be surprised if they put her up in regionals. Not sure what is wrong. Can’t imagine she wants to risk hurting herself before worlds and Paris though so she may be done.

I could see that, especially since they know there is no way they are going to win the title. If they somehow made the Four on the Floor then I could see her stepping in to compete. Maybe they want to see if they can get to Nationals without her.

Anyone a bit nervous about or ur regional. Definetly think we have talent to get out of it and would do with our normal routines on a neutral site … But Denver make me nervous for their scoring and how that’s going to work on their home regional … I can remember from Georgia a few years ago when they were at home it was literally insane. Anyways hope we can put our best foot forward and get to nationals! Still want to see Bryce on floor for Elena if kj not back cowan on bars for alyona and Bryce on beam to replace Sierra. There comes a point where u have to throw up the routines with the highest scoring potential over consitency otherwise the ceiling for the team will be too low to compete.

A little but I would say I'd be way more confident going into post season this time around. I'm not worrying about the team having mental break downs and falling apart contrary to last season where the beam and bar lineups were ticking time bombs at times. This team has been steady since they lost Kiya to injury and have only improved all year. They handled the nerves pretty well at SEC's. The only true mistake was Brock's vault who was going for the perfect stick.

the two routines you mentioned, Cowan (bars) and Bryce (floor) are clearly when hit, better than some of our current lineup routines but Jay seems very conservative and is playing for the hit routines instead of the routine with higher upside but less experienced. This is exactly why our freshmen needed more reps earlier in the season instead of going so slow with them because now we are in the perform or go home mode.

If they do get to nationals (semifinals) I think you have absolutely no choice but to put those better scoring potential routines out there because its going to take everything and them some to try to break into four on the floor with the likes of OU, Michigan, Florida, Utah.

I would like to see Bryce replace Elena on beam. Sierra or alyona lead off. I wish they would move Alexis back in the bar lineup and put Aleah before haleigh. Vault should be Elena, alyona, Bryce, chase, Aleah, haleigh. Oh if only me and Jay were besties!

Just my opinion, they aren't going to remove Arenas from leadoff on beam (though its the weakest of all the routines) mostly because she stays on the beam and lets the rest of the lineup relax. Look at what happened when Kai was leading off, all that shakiness causes so much nerves for the rest of the lineup. Now next year, that routine WILL need to get replaced and upgraded. But for this year, thats the one thing they aren't going to change. They especially aren't changing that going into post season.

Now Arenas on floor and Alyona on bars are much different arguments worthy of discussion and debate. I think those two routines could be changed or replaced without harm to the rest of the lineups.

I hate to be one of those “wait until next year” people, but the path will be easier with Trinity, Suni, Leanne and all of the aspiring olympians gone next year. And if Kiya, Alyona and Cami come back along with all of our other stellar routines and some of our younger girls with some experience under their belts, I love our chances!

I think it is interesting how comparable the PAC 12 Championship scoring was to the SEC. Our beam and bars can potentially hurt us in Regionals as the teams we most likely go against are getting the scores on these two events.

Has anyone else noticed how Hayleigh has lifted her foot on the standing front on beam for the last 4 meets. I hope she is ok and not hurting from the skill. We need that "one two punch" to finish beam.

As for bars (IMO) the lineup needs a strong routine to set up Hayleigh for a great score. Alyona's dismount is hurting her own score which in turn doesn't help the score for the last routine. Jay needs to rethink the lineup on bars.

Also, Bama has come on strong at the SEC Championship for the past three years. They always have good beam and bar workers that make a difference in post season.

LSU could really use Zoe Miller on bars next year.

Considering our top two 23' recruits are deferring a year and the two incoming kids (Drayton and Coen) are coming into LSU having coming off pretty significant injuries and time off, I really hope they could get Chio to come in a year early, or if there is anyone in the portal, bring in one person to help give a boost to our beam or bars lineup . Not that Coen and Drayton won't show out from the get go but as we all know Jay has been pretty slow with freshmen

We have plenty of fire power on vault and floor. Need more 9.9+ scoring on bars and beam, although I do think Coen can give us another one of those scores on bars and if Kiya comes back, that significantly improves the beam lineup. The question will then be who can lead off beam and give us consistently strong scores

Has leann said she was not doing next year? I know Jordan c. Said she was but I haven’t heard about leann. I think our main thing is routine construction. We need to be playing the game the other top teams are: 2 passes, easy leaps. Also I’m not sure I want to win if everyone is going to say “but so and so didn’t have their best lineup”.
