That would be amazing!!! I would love that for Aleah! Although that probably means that she would have to take some time off from college gym.

Yes KJ has a DTY but to summarize her during the Tiger TV interview she did (since someone asked about her vault upgrade): “they’re currently focusing on consistency with the full and sticking it well because she’d rather have a consistent stuck 9.95 full then try to go for the bigger vault which starts from a 10.0 and incur more deductions on it because she hasn’t perfected it or worked on it as much.”

That’s not to say we couldn’t potentially see it come post season depending on how her body is feeling but I would bet on not seeing it until probably next year at the earliest at this point.

Very excited for Aleah if true (the article was poorly written or translated).

Aleah is planning on qualifying to the Paris Olympics by competing at the Asian Championships and Worlds later this year ??

I had assumed this was the goal when she changed her nationality to the Philippines. She certainly has the ability to qualify for the AA finals in Paris! She will need to up her difficulty, but given how high her difficulty is now in NCAA, maybe not as heavy as a lift as it could be. My guess is she'll qualify through AC/WCs this summer/fall, work on training elite and college after that and through the spring (maybe having to take some rest from the AA next spring) and then dialing in in the leadup to Paris. It's an incredible longshot for her to medal, but a placement in the top 10 or top 15 is certainly not out of the question.

Olivia talked more about her injuries on TikTok live. Said she was in so much pain last season she became nauseous while competing. At that point someone on the staff should have stepped in I would think.

She might not have told them how bad it was.

Definitely possible with the USAG culture she grew up in.

She didnt. She admitted that she kept it to herself about being hurt.

The Meet Notes are out for Auburn and there are a couple of alternate changes and the order of the beam lineup is different.

Only difference is arenas is leading off on beam with Kai in the middle. Bryce is only an alternate on vault. Outside of that it’s the same essentially as last week

Hopefully Ashley Cowan will get a chance on bars this season and Bryce will be back on beam for the Florida Meet. It's a smart move that they are trying Elena first on beam and giving Kai the third spot in this meet. I hope it pans out for the good of the team.

I am wondering if we will see Livvy compete at all for the remainder of the season. She's a joy to watch when competing.

Also does anyone know what injury Annie Beard has that prevents her from competing on beam? I don't remember anyone saying why she is out this season. The team could really use her skill on this apparatus.

Chio qualified to the NL cup. Definitely a strong contender to win it

It would be nice if Chio would come early to LSU.

I saw where Alabama went 198.0 at the Metroplex Meet. With NQS starting a week from this Monday Alabama would need to get another 198.0 this week to count it since the highest score is dropped. LSU could use a high 197+ this week to count our 197.7 for the NQS. It will be interesting to see the scores when LSU heads to Tuscaloosa in two weeks.

LSU moved up to #8 in the RTN Standings. Haleigh is #2 on vault.
I would like to see the coaches adjust whatever is keeping Haleigh from big scores on floor. She is so consistent and deserves the best routine construction for her skills.

ETA: LSU has four commits that will compete in the Winter Cup.
Kaliya Lincoln, Amari Drayton, Zoe Miller and Lexi Zeiss. Konnor isn't on the list.

Will be great to see them compete! Do we know who LSU has its eyes on for the new seniors (class of ‘25)?

I don't have any info on recruiting, but do have a question for the group:

Do we know how many more road meets LSU has before SECs - for example, I know they have one against AL, but I also wonder if the March 3 meet technically counts since it is not at LSU (though of course it is only 2 miles away, lol).

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Or was it a regularly scheduled home meet, and since they decided to move it to podium, it doesn't get to count as away? It would be amazing if it did get to count as away...

The Podium Meet does count as an away meet. I asked this question of Mike and a staff member earlier this season and was told it 100% counts as an away meet.
