Well he has decided to leave Missouri.
He may regret not taking that Ivy League offer.

He seems like someone who hasn’t yet resigned himself to the fact that he’s not a QB at the college level and up

Why did we even entertain that plug?

I think Tulane is where he should have gone from the start and he would have been perfect for that system.

He was one of those players that peaked out in high school. Wish him the best, but it is looking like his career is over with. There's nothing wrong with that, as he will get a degreen and nobody will be able to take that away from him for the rest of his life. He could end up getting into coaching, as he is a really good player that is only restricted by his physical attributes. He has the knowledge of the game obviously, and could help other players reach their potential in the game.

Prolly because wonderful tiger fans like yourself would get all butthurt if we missed out on a talented in-state kid regardless if It was warranted.

He got some bad advice. I was saying from day one that he should've jumped all over the opportunity to play at Harvard. Hopefully he still has that opportunity.

I wonder how many QB's in the last 15 years that we passed on that really amounted to something? We have taken several that have been flops, but not sure we have let many pass that we all regretted. Dak is about the only one that comes to mind.

I really hope people in the comments don’t say anything bad about this kid. He’s a good kid who comes from a good family and he’s also extremely smart, hence the Harvard offer. I wish he would have taken that opportunity but I understand wanting to live his dream of playing for LSU. Those saying he’s not a qb are wrong though. He has a tremendous arm to go with his ability to run. If he were 2 inches taller in high school he would have been a high 4 star top 100 player with an offer list of the best teams in the nation. I wish him nothing but the best and hopefully he lands somewhere he can be given a real chance to start.

So his 2 attempts at playing in the SEC haven't been "real" chances? Why exactly would 2 different coaching staffs not give him the same opportunity to play as the other QB's on the roster?

It's ok to admit that he's just not good enough to play at a high level, not everybody can do it

He should go replace Chase Fourcade at Nicholls next year and win a NC.
Great kid from a great family, he deserves success.

Jesus was everyone an All American QB in this thread?

It’s clear he isn’t a starting SEC QB (he never was), but to act like his career is over or he isn’t a high level player is absurd. He can likely go to a smaller school and start and finish out his education on scholarship. No shame in that.

Did you get offered a Harvard admission? For that matter, did you get offered any college admission?

I don't blame him for wanting to come to LSU. I'd chose the Tigers over Harvard any day. He gave his best shot. Nothing wrong with that.

What ever happened to Justin Rodgers? The kid that was Terrace Marshalls teammate? Didnt he go to TCU?

He's at the bottom of their depth chart, but some posters on 24/7 are saying he is still having physical issues related to his injury in HS, most notably a drop foot condition that is keeping him from really being able to compete.

Sorry but Harvard would have set him up for life.

Honestly if he had stayed at LSU and we hadn’t won the Joe Burrow sweepstakes last year, he likely would have been our starter since Brennan was injured. He should have just stayed at one place, made the best of his opportunities, and locked in a grad assistant spot like LaCouture. There is serious money now in college coaching.
