He’s a guy from near the area who they figured they could get if they overpaid. LSU probably could have responded, but do you want to pay $800k for a $500k house just because you are desperate?
LSU will save the warchest for great players who live closer to LA and thus, more likely to attend. LSU went all in for a big time LB from NOLA playing in Houston last year. It seems to have worked out well.

I felt like Reed, Mickens, and Womack all had an argument to be 5* players so it stings to lose 2/3. Just as long as they can keep Womack and add equal or better talent we'll be okay.

Well Iota has said that we will all be very happy with flips and portal additions so there is that
Also I don’t worry about this stuff like I have in the past. This is by far the most trust and confidence I’ve had in our coach since 2004. Kelly has already shown he will get guys in here who can play, he will develop them and he will play for championships with them
Not very kid will want to be part of that for their own reasons. I’m not worried about losing kids to auburn. Go be a good player on a mediocre team.
And knowing it’s a kid who lives 45 min from their campus makes it hard to get too worked up over it

I do. I don’t get riled up with what these kids do. Flips happen we’ve year. It’s part of it. We will probably get one or two who were committed elsewhere too.
Most important thing is having coaches who know what to do with the players you get. And we have that
