Desean Smith of Barbe will be a SR - TE, great kid with great hands. Trey Quinn is probably a two sport star (baseball and FB). Both are leaning heavily towards LSU right now...

Both Smith and Quinn have great parents, attitudes and personalities...

Manieri needs to mend fences with Cecchini asap...

Yes Dobard is good. Different style than Smith but will get an offer(some places say he already has one though I'm not sure). He's more Nic Jacobs which isn't a bad thing.

Your right about Dobard. He is good. I think LSU should be careful before offering Dobard b/c of how special a TE D.Smith is. From what I've seen (through highlights) and heard from others, some are saying could be potentially as good as Kellen Winslow Jr. when he was at the U. of Miami.

Agree on Smith and his offer is good all year. Word is that Dobard is offer #2 and a take with the Patterson kid also in line for an offer if we don't feel good about Dobard. 2 of the 3 with Smith being the priority.

Agree that Diarse is likely a db in collge but I have a feeling he is one of those guys that is just too good with the ball to move to defense. He's got special ability with the ball. A lot will depend on which he prefers and who else we get at wr and db. A lot of versatile athlete type guys instate next year that can play wr/db.

I was thinking Diarse would get the first look at DB myself.

Return punts and possibly kicks to get him some time with the ball.

We had a few guys like that in last years class. Claiborne, Mathieu, Reid all played offense in high school. If we get Collins this year, he is another special player who could play defense or offense. You can never have too many of these special athletes because their instincts are what set them apart.

Dorial Green Beckham still has not committed but does not have LSU as one of his choices.

I think it is a matter of time before Smith committs to us.

I think if Quinn is offered in football he will committ immediately.

Smith is going to the UnderArmour combine. Quinn is going to the U.S. Army combine from what I hear.

Both made 1st team All-State in 5A this year.

I don't think Quinn's vertical is that high yet, probably closer to the low 30's than 38". I think those exaggerations came from a YouTube video of him dunking a basketball when he was in middle school. But he is just a 15 year old sophomore so we will see.

Boys from the boot junior day is in a couple weeks. Any of the kids who get an invite to that could be offered. Those are the ones that are being seriously looked at. There are always some sleepers in the bunch that are not on the "obvious" list

Also Donald Gage at Receiver and Noel Ellis should be a take at db giving Diarse the offensive side of the ball edge
