I think the staff will take other WR commits here soon. They will still go after him and you always want to keep a good relationship even if we don't land because of portal.

That's not a fair take.
He wants to play the recruiting game, and nowadays that includes a lot of money.
I hope we're still recruiting him just as hard. I also hope we've zeroed in on a more realistic feature WR for this class.

A couple million at Texas doesn’t add up to 20 million a year that he can make in the nfl because of what he learns from LSU coaching

Do you wonder why a guy looking for clicks would couch a statement in a way to draw more clicks?
I like Shea but he is not some guy above the fray that is modern online reporting which thrives on traffic.
I could be wrong, I guess, but I never saw him say anything other than he decommitted from LSU to explore other options. I never read anything about him saying LSU is not in the mix. Not that I expected him to ultimately land on LSU but I did not dismiss the possibility.
