Rascos announcement and Kirk Herbstreit

Is JRs way of announcing his school of choice the reason that Herbstreit is spitting all over himself on ESPNU? I didn't see video of Rascos announcement, but I see Herbstreit is losing his shite about "these entitled kids", all of a sudden. I saw a few of his earlier segments and he didn't have anything to say about all the tables with hats, live announcements, and fake outs.

Herby is an arse and ESPN is no longer an objective media source on college athletics. Don't worry about it. If Rasco goes to Texas he would be praising the kid and the process because if he bad mouths Texas or anything about Texas he knows Texas would fire him.

He had Florida and Texas stuff on a table....Thanked his coaches and what not, then one of his friends/relatives handed him and LSU hat and he took off his coat and had an LSU jersey on. Nothing much more than that, got a rise and cheer out of his classmates.
If you wanna go ridiculous....Crowell committed to UCA earlier in the day and brought a live Bulldog puppy up to the podium with him.
Rasco did absolutely nothing wrong IMO, had 10 minutes of fun with his family and classmates.

OH well, the timing had me wondering why he was so mad, all of the sudden. I've definitely seen him laugh all the antics off as "fun" before. I saw him foaming at the mouth just one segment after Rasco signed with us, and I just read about the details of JR's presentation.

Both Rasco and Crowell had tame ceremonies when compared to Kirkpatrick and his swagger hats, Ray Ray Armstrong throwing hats off of his family members' heads, or the Kevin Jones Penn State (psyche!) move.
I know if I was a star recruit, I would have the four hottest chicks in school all rocking straight bill hats and Ed Hardy t-shirt dresses. I would eliminate them one by one, until the hottest one was left. She'd jump into my lap and I would then conduct my interview while she nibbles on my ear lobe.

I agree with Herbstreit.
Alot of these kids think they're just going to step on the college football field and do what they did in high school. 95% of these kids are going to get their asses kicked in their first year.
As for this thread, I think this is another indirect "ESPN hates LSU" thread. Give me a break.

If anything, the most arrogant display this year was Gabe Wright's "Nick Who?" hat. Pretty mild year.
