“Everything has happened so fast and I just need to go home and talk things over with my family. But, I’m 99 percent sure I’ll end up at LSU.”

Dandy don ranks him as #76 overall player in LA & 24/7 didn't rank him in there top 247 juniors but he could still be good

Please don't listen to Dandy Don. He also doesn't have Xavier Woods from WM ranked and he's at Junior Day today.

It will be amazing how far Baker, White and Lawson will rise up his list without doing a single thing except commit to LSU

He didn't get an offer today. He talked to Stud and Cooper. Was invited to camp this summer and all home games this year.

so I'm assuming Lawson is a DT, is he a guy that will beef up or maybe maintain the weight and play DE.

With the WR class so full and already one in the fold (Baker) I'm assuming White and Brazil are CB's.

Like the class so far

At least part of the reason he is rated low by some and the full reason he's not rated at all on 247 is because he has very limited and hard to get film. 247 in particular has not really evaluated or ranked that many kids considering the amount that will eventually be given a rating on there. They only have around 50 kids from Texas rated and 20 from LA. LA had close to if not over 50 rated for the 2012 class. Long way to go before those ratings matter or are fully relevant.

Here's film on him - 11 highlight clips from this season.

Tevin Lawson 2011 highlights

He's No. 68.

I actually like him playing left tackle on offense. He's a mauler. But there's no question he's extremely quick off the ball and he can move. I can definitely see why the coaches offered him.

The first six clips have him on defense, which is where they apparently moved him. The last five are from the first five games of the year where he was playing left tackle.

BTW, from the Advocate's All-Metro Large Schools team, which Lawson made as a defensive lineman...

TEVIN LAWSON
Denham Springs
Defensive line
6-4, 275, Jr.

Finished with 40 tackles, including five tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks in six games.
