De'andre is the bes option out of all those names. Has the wheels to run when needed but is a pass first qb.

Question - Does a D2 player have to express an interest in transferring or can a D1 school come in and offer one at any time? Why don't successful D2 QBs like a Carson Wentz or Joe Flacco transfer into larger D1 programs? Maybe question 1 answers question 2.

Carson went Played D1 AA not d2 and D1s don't usually reach down to D1AA or D2, although they can. Transfer generally loses a year of eligibility

eah let's not even entertain the idea. Perish the thought! Because we are just loaded at QB...

No shite people act as if we're stacked "we have scott!" why put all your eggs in that basket? Bring one in and let them all compete.

Which makes me wonder about Brennan and him getting mad at O offering another qb. Does he think he will be given the job? Hell no son, show some chest and come in ticked off and earn the dang position. Franks is a prime example of why you continue to offer. Players, especially qbs are fickle as hell. No matter what they might say.

Cool, but that doesn't answer the question. If LSU wants to go grab a successful D2 qb can they? Or does the player have to come out and say they want to transfer first? Basically asking can a D2 player be recruited that hasn't expressed an interest in transferring. I don't know why this doesn't happen more often.

Everybody was trying to recruit Prukop from Montana St last year, even Nick Saban.

why not just recruit and develop a QB like everyone else thats worth a damn.

A JUCO and new coach turned a 6-6 regular season V Tech team into a 9-3 regular season team (lost the conference championship by a TD). It is already their best season since 2011.

A JUCO turned a 5-7 regular season Kentucky team last year, into a 7-5 regular season team this year. It is their first bowl and best season since 2009.

These programs both had QBs who played the year before and/or also had 4 star QBs on the roster, but a JUCO turned the tide. Whether he was a one man army like Evans, or he greatly improved the run game with the option like Johnson (and wasn't a turnover macbine).

I'd ride with Etling before at least 5 of those cats.

1. Jarrett Stidham - 3 years of eligibility left?
2. Malik Zaire - Performance went downhill, backup / special packages
3. David Cornwell - No experience, Etling is better option for 2017
4. Cooper Bateman - No experience, Etling is better option for 2017
5. Shane Morris - Limited experience, not an upgrade.
6. De'Andre Johnson - Is he eligible?
7. Max Browne - not an upgrade

De'andre johnson is elig to play anywhere. The sec rule does not apply in his situation because he was never charged with domestic violence.

Let me guess you wanted to keep Coach O and Ensminger also?

Etling is solid but he is simply not the answer. All of your reasons listed are idiotic
