Let's get a list of all the transfers that can come to LSU

1. Jarrett Stidham
2. Malik Zaire
3. David Cornwell
4. Cooper Bateman
5. Shane Morris
6. De'Andre Johnson
7. Max Browne

Any others?

There are some great options here. Why not go for these guys once we get an OC?

Wait, you'd rather have a first year transfer than Etling?

Stidham or a JUCO guy could easily take the top spot if they have a full spring practice, especially in a new offensive scheme.

Hmm let's think. We will have a new offensive scheme next year and these graduate transfers are better than Etling... So yes

if we end up in the power spread, Stidham/Zaire/Johnson would all be better fits.

Depends on the transfer

Question - Does a D2 player have to express an interest in transferring or can a D1 school come in and offer one at any time? Why don't successful D2 QBs like a Carson Wentz or Joe Flacco transfer into larger D1 programs? Maybe question 1 answers question 2.

Joe Flacco started at D1 (Pitt) then went down to Delaware

Cool, but that doesn't answer the question. If LSU wants to go grab a successful D2 qb can they? Or does the player have to come out and say they want to transfer first? Basically asking can a D2 player be recruited that hasn't expressed an interest in transferring. I don't know why this doesn't happen more often.

Let's not.

Yeah let's not even entertain the idea. Perish the thought! Because we are just loaded at QB...

Stidham would be a huge pickup assuming we are going spread.
