Maybe he wants to play tight end. Some kids are bound and determined to stay at a certain position. Who knows?
I think you recruit him at whatever position he wants to play, then let it sort out. Maybe he grows into a tackle, or perhaps he dominates as a tight end. Either way, he seems to be a guy you want.

Probably at OT hoping for development in a real strength and conditioning program. If he has to stay at TE, at best he's a situational blocking TE. If he's a good blocker then win, win. The game is so situational now that getting a quality 5-10 snaps from a guy is an underrated success. All he needs to do is make 1 key block a game and no frickups and his job is done while being considered a success by the staff. Minute details are the Kelly bread and butter for success. Not flashy but effective

This dude is being brought in as a TE Blocking specific, he’s 6’6” 260lbs and LOVES to block, Denbrock says he’s got a plan for him at TE, other schools want him to play 2yrs to gain weight for OL. He says he like Denbrock plan ALOT

Holy blocking Batman! This guy engages and does not stop.
TE this year, for crushing blocks and surprise them for a few passes down the seam. You imagine he blocks a guy a few yards downfield then disengages and catches a pass.
