He'll be announcing tomorrow he's signing with Kansas. LSU has offered but won't let him sign until Signing Day (Guessing they have bigger fish to fry). Just passing along the word I got

quote:

Why would anyone, even a kid from Kansas, go to freakin losing-arse, perennial bottom dweller, no tv exposure Kansas????!!!!

He stays committed to his word which is what Coach Salt has been saying for the past year now.

we only have 4 spots left and 1 is going to Pooka? Don't support.

Marshall
Joesph
Chase
Goodrich
Surtain
Foster
Joiner
Watkins

Should all get spots ahead of him.

Maybe they should have signed to be a Tigers then. Not saying I disagree with your assessment, however I like this early signing period so we can see which kids truly want to be at LSU and which want to play games with their recruitment.

He will be another classroom casualty and will never suit up for Kansas or LSU. You can quote me on this and if I am wrong I will admit that. But I am not.

Best of luck to him. Wish LSU had room but with limited numbers, this may not be a bad thing if Joiner inks.

Dude needs to go out of state.

If he goes to LSU, he won’t be in the team very long.

Because they're are former New Orleans High School coaches on the KU staff that recruited the hell out of the area earlier in the year

Don't understand what's so difficult to understand. I'm simply saying you've got kids that are really in love with LSU and they're ready to go. And then you have some kids who enjoy the "process" of stringing it out and creating some suspense. Nothing wrong with either approach. I just like the kids who have their shite together and are ready to sign on the dotted line the first chance they have.

So you're saying that we shouldn't wait on players like Surtain, Chase, Joseph, Goodrich, & Joiner b/c they don't want to sign by tomorrow? You would rather take less talented players that are willing to sign tomorrow?

Not at all. Again, I'm simply saying that I appreciate the kids that have their shite together (grades and decision made). Look, the "dog and pony" days of recruiting are coming to an end. Only the elite of the elite will be able to wait to sign. Each year we will see more and more kids signing early.

If there's an elite kid out there that the staff feels like is worth the wait, I'm all for it.

Hahnville High School football star running back Anthony "Pooka" Williams will sign with Kansas, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.

Williams rushed for over 3,000 yards during his senior season, including well over 1,000 yards over a span of three playoff games that sent Hahnville to a Class 5A state championship appearance in the Superdome. His spectacular season thrust him into the local recruiting spotlight, with late interest in him reportedly being shown by local LSU recruiter Mickey Joseph.

Williams said in a Tweet sent earlier on Thursday that he narrowed his options down, also mentioning Nebraska as a possible landing spot, and would announce his decision on Friday morning at a ceremony at Hahnville.

However the decision was made by Williams on Thursday night to sign with the Kansas Jayhawks, according to sources. He will make the announcement official on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m.

The sources also explained that LSU never sent any paperwork to Williams during the early signing period, not giving him an option to stay at home and play for the Tigers on scholarship. Time will tell if LSU will regret letting this exciting local talent get away.
