Two Baton Rouge natives and two of the best RBs in America. Both hanging here at LSU today.

Is the "L" more of a Louisiana thing rather than an LSU thing?

Asking for a friend.

I like where we are at with Cain. Too soon to call it, but I think he'll be a Tiger.

Really like Cain, but Tyrion is the horse.

Dat shirt on Cain doh, yo!

Seriously though, would love for that to be LSU’s duo in the future.

I would be fine with this. I've grown a little weary of the Emery saga.

Now all that's missing in the picture is Emery and it'll be complete! The dynamic trio or triplets!

battle it out with whom? tOSU?

A RB haul of Cain and Davis would be awesome.

If we have doubts about Emery, I hope we use it as "leverage" with Cain. Basically tell him we want him more, true or not (shouldn't have to state this regarding recruiting, but it's the rant), and see if we can draw a commitment out of him.

Supposedly the three RB's and Kardell are all good friends. You don't want to tell one RB something and then another RB something else. That could blow up and you get none of the three.

It's going to be super disappointing if LSU doesn't land both.

By both do you mean Cain and Emery in addition to Davis? I just find it hard to believe we have a shot at all 3. 2 stars sharing the load is one thing and makes sense. 3 stars would be a tough sell.

LSU does a great job of platooning its rbs.

So they are not beat up before they enter the pros.

I can see that.

Maybe tweak it; flip the script. Instead of talking about who we like better to Cain vs. Emery, flip the script and tell Cain that Emery isn't showing US the love and that we're putting the priority on him, if just by a hair.

A gentle "fish or cut bait" nudge is all I'm saying. If you don't, you risk both IMHO. We've all seen the kid's gloves approach backfire more often than not. We know we want one of the two for sure. We shouldn't fear playing them off each other, even if politely or gently.

Deceit seldom pays off. I believe total honesty is the the best policy. Tell the each recruit exactly what the game plan is for their future. The young men deserve complete honesty when it is their future.

pretty much... and we've got work to do if we are gonna land him...

as far as Emery, yeah, he ain't coming here, especially if we do get Cain to go with Davis... Emery is looking to be "the" guy at RB and we can't give him that... we can give him a great chance to be one of the guys, good exposure at a school known to put guys in the league at his position, and let him know he'll still have a lot of tread left on the tires when he leaves for the league, but we can't promise him that he's going to be the feature back....

How do we know this is still the case?
