There was a post on here the other day about Peyton Houston visiting LSU and I just saw an interview about him talking about his experience

Polite young man. Cant wait to see how he continues to grow as a player. Thanks for posting.

His grandparents raised his dad the right way, their uncle is my pastor.

Man it's starting to look like we may be on the Houston train. I'm torn between the two 2027 QB's.

Is there any word on one of these top 2027 QB’s reclassifying?

This will get butchered, but go back and watch high school Tua during elite 11 and other 7 on 7 camps. This kid reminds me of Tua with some wheels.

Reclassifying is a terrible thing for recruits. they just are not physically ready for CFB

Yeah Ryan Williams wasn't ready.

You can do it some spots where it's pure athleticism. Have many qbs been able to classify early and ready yr 1 or 2? Ewers went up and sat at oh st, and struggled his 2nd yr at UT.

I haven’t seen enough from Haven yet to convince me he has the tools to play QB in the SEC. He’s an incredible athlete, but he looks a little robotic. Houston seems like he a little more of a natural passer with plenty of athleticism to pair with. I still think his comp is Cam Ward.

There’s always an exception. You think Hurley was ready?

I agree that recalssifying isn't a good thing but I'm just not buying the physical readiness portion of the argument. Sure there's still growth, maturity and fine tuning physically but this isn't the NFL leap we are talking. It's college, where 80% of the kids playing are in reality just hs level talents with a college on their jersey instead of a high school. They aren't superior enough, in any way, to thwart the inevitability of an elite like kid that is just better from being successful. The physical advantages from a pure size/physical development perspective just aren't relative enough to matter in most cases. DL/OL has some debate but a 6'5 300 hs jr is no different from a 6'5 300 college Sr from a physical perspective. That's just perception and the accepted narrative that older means superior. Just not true. There's some 16 year olds out there I wouldn't advise meeting at Sonic.

I really like him. I originally thought he was a running qb. But this kid is just smooth with a versatile skill set. He could be overall #1 recruit in the country if he were 2 or 3 inches taller. I hope he picks us regardless of what Haven does. Reminds me of Cam Ward on tape.

fanva, forget reclassification, just curious what you think of Houston vs Haven. Who would you take if you had your choice?

wingy, i want to see them open up Haven a bit this year. He is the prototype physically, but just seemed like they kept him within the structure of the offense last year.
It's easy to fall in love with Houston's ad-lidding and off script plays. He just has a looseness to him that is enticing. But also is very physically gifted when it comes to his arm and athleticism

Thanks Lester. Seems like either one will be a big winner to my eyes.

Awesome! Hope he comes to the good guys when he makes his decision.
