You don’t “overpay” for Chambliss and Lacy. They are probably the two best players available. You pay what you have to. Major victories for Ole Miss. They would have cost a king’s ransom no matter who signed them.

We don’t need any ole miss players for things to go our way and most of you were delusionally confident that we would get a handful of their best players just because Lane left. It never really made sense to me.

Lacy, Chambliss, Wallace, and Alexander were all signed by Kiffin after the 2024 season.
Kiffin built that team in one portal cycle at Ole Miss.
There is zero reason to believe that he cannot do the same thing this year at LSU.

This is 100% going our way. Ole Piss is having a hissy fit. They are overpaying for Lacy and Chambliss. This means they have less money for other players. The money pot is not infinite.

Kiffin brought Chambliss from nowhere, and I'm pretty sure we can find a different back to partner with Harlem Berry.
Though NIL has sped up the process for teams to jump into legitimacy, Kiffin was just hired. I'm not worried that we're not consensus preseason #1 just yet. We'll get there.

We still need a QB, two running backs and an entire OL. And we have only signed the 30th best portal WR. From optics standpoint it just about couldn’t be worse.
