Am I the only one that thinks this is about the stupidest fricking rule in NCAA recruiting? If a kid has verbally committed who the frick cares if a coach said something about him?

I totally agree. The NCAA and all it’s bullshite rules need to be disbanded

Don’t think I ever said I don’t believe it haha. I said it wasn’t happening yesterday. Learn to read

The silent commit wasn’t even a 2022 guy. Guy was just throwing stuff out to y’all hyped. He literally said 2 booms coming on the day Greg Penn was announcing

Well thats rather interesting, the stuff about it being a 2021 guy. Think it's Leigh and he just has to make the video for it to be public.

Ok so who was Coach O referring to in the 2022 class that committed that we haven’t heard about yet? Doesn’t that qualify as a silent commit?

Yeah, Leigh is in the process of making his video
Posted on 7/14/20 at 11:59 pm to bradleyrice13
You literally said word for word "I call bs on the silent commit"
All good though.
Leigh is in the bag and hopefully a 2022 commit

quote:I could go either way on this one. I assume this is to keep coaches from recruiting through the media. Easier to just make a blanket ban than to deal with the intricacies of the issue. Probably shouldn't be an issue for a coach to say "we are excited that John Doe decided to commit yesterday" but I could certainly see a local reporter asking "who are you most interested in getting right now, coach?" - coach: "well, we really want John Doe at LB. It's a huge position of need and I think he would be an All American here."

That second scenario isn't something the NCAA wants to have or should be allowed, IMO.

Someone committed, its just not public yet. So that would make him right.
On the 14th the OP posted that we had a commit "Yesterday". That would be the 13th. On the 12th crkelly91 posted that we would have two commits "today". 13 does not equal 12, therefore he would be WRONG.
