Havent read the thread, but this has everything to do with numbers. We only allowed 6this EE, miller didnt want to wait til june, chose auburn instead. It sucks, but had nothing to do with billy or losing.

Auburn mod was told that the LSU staff asked the Miller's to pay for Patricks' spring semester, then he'd go on scholarship in the summer... they weren't happy so they contacted AU's staff.

Auburn mod is wrong. Auburn and LSU were close in the race. He cant EE so he is going to Auburn where he can be an EE. Its that simple. I doubt there is any bad blood between the two parties.

Auburn mod may not be wrong if the staff wanted to keep Miller on board and was offering him other possibilities besides EE, hard to believe the staff would just say sorry we dont have room and drop it.

Im sure they attempted some type damage control that would get him to stay, and him enrolling on his own dime and then being part of the fall would make sense.

Just my opinion, I dont think any of us really have any inside info other than what the paid site guys are giving us

It is easy for in state players to come in as early enrollees with the TOPS scholarships, other players have to pay for the first semester and pay out of state tuition.

Auburn mod is right.
Patrick wanted to stay at LSU, but parents didn't want it pay for Spring semester.
They were asked because they are wealthy.

Sheadixon Shea Dixon
Cliff Notes on Miller: #LSU could enroll 6 early (85 scholarship cap) but had 7. Could have paid own way in spring but enrolled early at AU.

That stinks but honestly we could use the space.
If we could get a stud WR and a DT that would be nice.
We'll be fine last year we had a GInormous OL class.

Local radio said we couldn't offer him early enroll because a certain QB didn't graduate early like we thought. I don't want to start any trouble so, I'll just say his name rhymes with "Schmarret Wee"

I think we are fine. There's plenty of nasty on our line. We had 1 bad game. Chill out. I agree with this poster. Lsu is still 3 deep at each line position with talented highly recruited players. I think we have larger needs than OL. les recruits the hell out of linemen.

yes, charles h. reported they were anticipating 12 graduating. he didn't, therefore, miller couldn't be an early enrollee.

Very strange that LSU would take a two-star LS as EE over a four-star OL. Also is it fair to tell a kid that heis LSU #1 OL commit, then ask him to pay outta-state tuition for a semester??? AUB entry requiremts cost us the # 1 juco OL (Latu) so really doubt grades were an issue-
