I hope there is a lot of potential in the now Eight 3*’s

Man come on.
These kids haven’t even played there senior year of football yet. A lot of these 3 stars will get bumped to 4 stars. Some of these 3 stars are three stars because they are raw talent and can be developed. May take a year or two and may only develop into solid back ups but guess what we need those as well.
I agree that the more 5 and 4 stars you have that statistically you will be in better shape but some of you act like Georgia and Bama never have any 3 stars in there class.

I truly hope the 40% of this 2024 class, so far, has a huge upside.

Sure coaches know more than you and I, but numbers don’t lie.

The best LSU class in history, by far, had more three stars than this one.

I never flipped burgers. Twenty two years in the air force and Twenty years in civil aviation as an A&P with an I A. The latter as an inspector. No dumb asses last in aviation, your lives depend upon it.

I always like to see folks talking stars. A couple of positions Kelly is known to have a better handle on is the OL and TE positions. Kelly in comparison to LSU, his time spent at ND.

As for the OL position:

At ND Kelly had 11 players drafted into the NFL.

LSU, 9, but remember, Les was a OL position coach and played the position.

The real kicker, LSU had only 1 player drafted in the first and 2nd rounds. Pocic.

Kelly had 5 players taken in the 1st and 2nd rounds.

As for the TE position:

Kelly had 8 players taken in the NFL, 4 in the 1st and 2nd rounds.

LSU had 2, Stephen Sullivan (7th round) and Foster Moreau (4th round).

So I say, I’ll trust Kelly when it comes to his choice in OL and TE’s. He and Brad Davis have a knowledge on what’s needed at that position.

Same can be said with Denbrock and the TE position.

IDGAF what you did or claim to know. You’re a damn moron if you can’t see this junior in HS that is 6’7 or better with length and is under 300 lbs as huge upside and can move so has versatility to play inside or outside.

Have you seen our OL lately? I think our coaches know exactly what they doing. We not in a position where he needs to start right away and we have some other 3* dogs on this OL who have grown like the hulk after 1 season under this S&C program.

Guys like Bordelon who were ranked 61 in the country and 34 in state and are now 6’7 310 all muscle. Came into LSU 6’5 or 6’6 285. The guy could actually start if we needed him to do so and this dude has more potential than him. So get the frick out of here Mr. “bad arse” aviator. You don’t know dick about recruiting. Clemson won championships with lots of top 10 classes with guys just like this, exactly like this. We will land the McKinleys, Durham’s and Collins types too. So these guys are vital to championship classes. This dude is a junior and if he stays at LSU, gets some training here, he will shoot up the rankings. Man you people are clueless when it comes to recruiting.

Y’all also do this crap every single season. There is at least one more 3* named Cryer who will probably make you cry like a little tit when he commits. He may never move up the rankings or not much, but he will be a huge dude that can move like a dang truck and I don’t want to be near him when he’s coming after me. Very much like Bordelon. 6’5 285 or so but will work his tail off for the Tigers and beat the crap out of the person in front of him. Those 5* DLman who just want to play, train and make some money in the NFL will be waving their little hands to come out after a few hits.

Maybe not all of them but that’s why we have a staff and bring them here to take a look at if they’re just big, strong, quick babies that want some money or are these football players who want to kick the next persons arse and money will come after he does his job. LSU will have the dogs bro! Louisiana is full of them so STFU and go fly an airplane.

You can't use "numbers don't lie" in this context. The numbers you are referring to are numerical representation of opinions and are not facts!

The recruiting services that produce the star rankings are in disarray this year with so many "analysts" changing companies and the emergence of On3. Just look at some of the differences between them. They have huge gaps where they are ranking a number of players. More than a typical year.

I could say "numbers don't lie" and claim that the down votes you received means you are wrong. But that wouldn't prove that you are wrong. Those numbers are opinions, too.

Georgia is recruiting this kid. And our head coach and Oline coach have shown they are pretty good at evaluating Oline guys. Time to move on.
