“Arrested on suspicion of strangulation and third degree assault”

Yikes, MJ. Not great!

I’ve gotta imagine that this all but guarantees that he doesn’t return to Nebraska as part of Rhule’s staff.

Given that MJ was what attracted Miller to Nebraska in the first place and has been what kept him committed as LSU’s eval of him changed…it feels like the odds he sticks with his commitment without MJ on staff are pretty low.

And in that case, we’ve gotta be the leaders, right? I know it’s been said on here that we let him get away bc a poor camp performance soured us on him, but that we’ve since come around as a result of the excellent senior season he’s having… but does anybody have any intel on whether/to what extent we’ve been pursuing him lately?

Could be a pretty sweet addition tbh. I don’t think this class NEEDS him, but honestly I’m of the mind that you can never have too many WRs (especially after having basically none in the 2022 class)

Oh, wow - domestic assault charges are no bueno.

Really hate to see this. Always liked Mickey a lot.

In marketing they use the metaphor of a stool. In the beginning the stool has one leg in the center. This represents the one reason Miller, for example, was lured to Nebraska. Once the stool is in place, they begin adding other legs (other reasons Miller loves Nebraska). This process is aided by the fact that humans want to justify their decisions. Eventually, so many other legs are added that the original one can be removed and Miller will still be all about Nebraska.

That’s the theory, anyway.

We probably could have had him back already if we pressed him.

The question is do the coaches want him?

Interesting, never heard that analogy but it makes sense. Appreciate you sharing.

One thought I had about it - had to be encouraging to see Trey Palmer, turn in a solid season. And, that was with an interim HC.

Oh yeah, one other thing that I bet is super validating to Miller - Decoldest Crawford got a significant NIL deal at the beginning of season - and I’m pretty sure it was financially lucrative as well as being a huge exposure boost for the kid.

Four whatever reason, I kinda think Miller will stick with Nebraska as well

He doesn’t have a committable offer at the moment and they’ll likely extend one to Harvey Broussard before him

For whatever reason, Kelly has never warmed up to Miller. It was reported at a summer camp Miller didn't run his routes well and dropped a lot of passes. Maybe it was the nerves of playing for a scholarship and he blew it.

That’s funny because the year before at the same camp, he literally earned a scholarship due to his performance. Miller may not be the best WR in the state but he is the best WR prospect in the state.

I reached out to my source today concerning Omarion, here is what I was told.
Coach Kelly has been in contact with him, a lot.
Omarion just found out about the Joseph situation and is processing everything due to him being the main reason he is committed to Neb.
He is a great kid who only started playing football his sophomore year due to his grandfather’s last request. He is an incredible basketball player, going to watch him play Friday night.
