We didn't allow anything. He chose to go to UGA.

Georgia has been the most dominant football program over the last several years. Players want to go there.

He was always going out of state. It was between Alabama and Georgia. Those were the only two schools he considered. He thought he was going to go to Alabama. Georgia was his dream school. Kirby called him personally and he committed on the spot.

Clearly LSU does not give a frick about special teams. (They’ve missed on the #1 kicker in the country 3 straight years and will again next year.)

It’s the schools who show interest early. LSU just doesn’t engage early enough. Peyton had full scholarship offers from Alabama and Georgia before his Jr yr of high school. Abram had three full offers before his Jr yr…

This 2026 from Shreveport is the best kicker in the country…he’s being recruited heavily by Georgia and Auburn:

Punishes that ball. That’s a 58 yd kick…and without question.

top fg kickers win close games. avg kickers like LSU has had recently loses close games.
LSU had better get serious about buying a really top Pkicker. Not one that our coaches can screw up....same thing with a punter.....our have been absolutely awful. Peyton was best in the nation, until he got to LSU....who screwed him up?
Get a top ST coach, preferably one from the Beamer coaching tree.

It’s a lot more to recruiting than “allowing” players to go somewhere else.

Players have the choice these days in particular.

Arron Burrell was the no.3 kicker in the country in 24. He’s been a weapon for us on kickoffs. I’m sure he’ll push for expanded role soon enough.

BK typically has bad STs. He had the same problems at ND. He clearly doesn't think much of it for whatever reason.

Ramos is fine. Our long snapper and holder suck.

In 2025, do you still assume the kneeling position for Orgeron?

LSU needs a Byrd player. Been a long time. Who will be our FG K in 2025? Ramos again? Can Burrel switch to FG and not just kickoff?

Yeah he puts it in endzone nearly every time. At least attempt to get him to kick FG in practice.
