If I had made a commitment to a premier football college after already backing out once, had caused another player to not be able to enroll at said college, and was packing my bags to leave and my mom started some blubbery shite.........my dad would have calmed her down and said "Look, he has made a man's decision. Its his decision and the best one for him, so stop treating him like a fricking baby!"

Also, I wonder what all the clowns over on irishevny are saying.......the same ones, and there were MANY, who were clamoring on about how Kiel actually sucked, didn't really deserve any accolades, really lacked talent if you watched his film, how they preferred their 2 star project over him anyway, and how he just seemed kinda flighty and stupid so he certainly didn't fit at Notre Dame

I'm not sure. I was banned there after mocking them with Kiel committed to us

In reality, I am settling for Notre Dame because it is close to home and it is the best option that will keep my mom happy and allow me not to feel guilty."

And they gave my brother a scholly too??

Might as well go now. Gunner Forcier wouldn't have lasted 2 years here anyway.

LSU is probably better off without Gunner, but the way he did it is terrible. IMO all of this started when the kids began the switch-the-caps routine when they declared. This showboating has degenerated into a complete lack of integrity in which keeping one's word is unnecessary. This total concern about "me" is disturbing, especially when someone is being sought out for a "team" sport. While Gunner is not the only example, he demonstrates how much egocentrism has become acceptable in athletics these days. He may have proved more disruptive than useful if he had come to LSU.

I thought he was very confident with his choice of LSU as well. Dude has mental issues.

The only part I have a big problem with is the no remorse or apology at all. Almost like he never even committed to us much less cost us a very good OL prospect due to making sure he had room. Would it be too much to ask for the kid to say "I know I put the LSU coaches in a tuff spot. I am very sorry but my family comes first." You know something to that extent. I mean he literally never even mentioned LSU. Like it was all a bad dream.

My only question is if class at ND starts this week, is it possible to enroll in a school that close to the start of the semester? Or was this decision in the making long before yesterday? It seems a little weird that he could decide to change his mind and be in class at another school a couple days later.

This post is dead on the money. The LAST thing LSU needs is another QB that's a head case. This is a blessing in desguise. I wish the young man well. This kid has obviously been raised poorly to do something like this. For the parents to LET the child do a flip flop also speaks volumes about them. We need very stable, self assured kids at the QB level. It is paramount that we find them. All the athletic ability in the world is no good if their head is not screwed on straight. Of all programs in the USA, we ought to atleast recognize this!!

Causing us to lose an O-lineman in the process.

That's a fact. Rees and Hendrix are scared to take the field - even more scared to get to the sidelines!

Spot on. In fact it appears that they actually encouraged it. If so then what pathetic examples.

Mamas boy

Beat me to it.

That's all it is. Mommy threw a shite fit because she wanted him closer to home. Mommies usually get what they want.

So we lose Kiel and Miller in this deal. NICE.

Well at least Miles can now go find the next "Dual Threat" QB to replace the J-Swag.

Moffit better get some weight on Rivers post haste or we're all of a sudden in big trouble depth wise at QB.
