Wherever the kid goes, here or ND, I always thought he was a bit over-rated. That said, if I was him, I'd go to ND, too (though I hope he plays for the Tigers). It really is a great environment for college football, as is LSU. The advantage is that it is close to home. About the only disadvantage is their crazy coach...of course, look at ours...HA.

I dont see this as program defining at all. We have no idea how good he is going to be. We have a pretty mediocre class right now but a very solid team coming back and that bodes well for next years class.

A high school recruit decided to go to the big name school in his state rather than the out of state school he committed to. Happens ALL THE DAMN TIME.
The timing is bad both on the recruits part and for the wounded nature of our fan base right now but...
There is no reason to think it happened for any reason other than family and distance issues unless you have some negative bias opinion to begin with.
