As others have pointed out, those “estimates” mean nothing and aren’t worth the page space.

LSU is 6th because they’re still counting Meadows in our class, we’ll drop if he doesn’t sign

I would not rely on what On3 shows. No one has to disclose NIL deals and unless it is volunteered, no one has any idea.

Where are you getting those numbers from?

The same place any NIL figure comes from, conjecture and thin air.

Using On3 metrics for NIL is very inaccurate

Nobody knows what or how much these prospects are given but the institutions and players. Period.

I bet Alabama is near the top regardless

they got a lot of money over there

I have followed recruiting for 20 plus years

Alabama's recruiting budget has always been about double of that to LSU's budget

that's university contributions towards recruiting...

sAban always had whatefver he neeeded

and I will add this, Terry Saban might have been his secret weapon, she was really involved in making recruiting feel welcome and comfortable

Kelly's wife is nowhere to be found, did he in fact get divorced, just heard rumors, hope it's not true

It's literally just an average of the estimate each recruit was given based on the available information. For example, Underwood's deal is known and so if you just take his $3.5 Million number alone (no one else getting anything), Michigan's average would be 152K, but we know he is not the only one getting paid.

I meant that I read and follow it here

I am not an expert, and my interest isn't what it what it was

If I can't trust a professional recruiting site on estimated numbers then I am supposed to trust you?

If you don't think Alabama is spending a bunch of money, they I suggest you make a visit to Tusculoosa and see how far behind LSU is in campus renovations!

It's a gimmick used to driver viewership, but sadly people will derive narratives from things like this

Im sure they are! The difference between LSU and Alabamas class is negligible

According to On3, Memphis has the third highest NIL average at $249k. They also rank their class 57th.

Dude, this is the Rant. Your terminology was off or you interpreted the On3 numbers incorrectly. The way all these guys are jumping all over you is just typical Rant stuff. Everyone loves to pick apart anyone that says anything questionable. Just move on and let it go.

First, this data isn't real, its projections i. e. guesses
Second, nobody will really know what the true numbers are
Third, who cares what everyone paid?

Actually I thought those numbers were supposed to be declared at some point at least to the NCAA and/or SEC

Yes, but LSU signed 15 of the 23 players at OL. DL, and LB. Our mix of players (which we needed) was heavily skewed to probably the lower market value positions plus we had a number of in-state sign which is value to that recruit without paying $$. I haven't seen the mix for the other schools but would be interesting to compare.
