Because he hasn't proven he can play at P5 level.
No team is going to just hand him or anybody the reins anymore. There will always be competition.
If he's not going to ride it out at LSU, CUSA/Sun Belt level to prove he can play is a good fit.
Could still prove NFL potential.

Dumervil, Hill, Kimo, Thomas, Marinez, K Taylor, and any of the WRs are possible portal guys.
I can't see Guillory entertaining the idea. Dude is nose to the grindstone tough and his PT is increasing anyway. Maybe Langston but I'd be careful what you wish for in his case.
I could see Radar and McGee, Z Carter, and maybe Sage going but only to a lower level like the fit for Nuss.

It was Jadens year

Nuss can play next year if he supplants Howard and Daniels.

Or he may transfer.

Didn’t Martinez increase his value playing against UAB? I think he is higher on depth chart than others

Yep.
I've been a big Martinez guy since he got here, FWIW.
I was surprised he wasn't the Center going into the fall. Dude is obviously a valued piece of the line now.
I don't know this but I would hazard a guess that he was one who of the guys who needed to understand and adjust to the daily routine of Alignment including classwork. And he was dinged up in the Spring but even when CBK said he was healthy there weren't that many reps.
It may have been the same situation with Bradford but he had his "come to Jesus" moment a little quicker.

With Boutte leaving, Thomas would be dumb to leave.

Nuss has a path to a P5 job. TCU, Ok St, Baylor, Tx tech. Places like this would take him in a flash

Our playcalling needs to change with Nuss.

Let’s see what happens in the bowl game.

Well I think throwing for 300 in a half against the #1 D in the country let alone a Power 5 school makes your point mute. Your statement aged like a tanning room, 3 packs a day, Clorox dyed blonde 50yr old 4 time divorced mother of four, in other words Didn’t Age Well

Nuss could beat out Dart and Altmeyer at OM today... and as we have seen with Matt Corrall that Lane wants this type of playmaker QB. One thing people have not seen is that Nuss has a motor too like Daniels but not as fast.

I predict Nusstransfers to UGA.

Stetson is out and Kirby just watched his defense get torched in a single quarter.

They make the call and he kills it there.

Yeah! Soon as Nuss hits the Portal, the New Auburn coach would be brining a stuffed satchel.

LSU fans, me included would turn a "Lighter shade of pale".

He could probably take Nabers and a few other receivers with him, if Daniels stays another year.
