This will be the week to prove it.
With the Amazon Video that came out, I don’t see how Scott W gets beat by Mich AND USC.
He may not have a billionaires wife, but I’m sure he is savvy enough to go find 10 people for a little raise in funds.
I say do it because after July 1 it won’t matter because of revenue sharing. We can still market our school as they once did in TimesSquare as NILSU
I can see some big pushes happening this week because we wouldn’t want to get in bidding wars multiple weeks out driving the prices even higher.
If Mich couldn’t afford to lose a 5 star in their backyard what does it say about LSU? That’s how these recruit think and that’s the type of thinking that’s here to stay. If we want to win we’ll have to play these games until it changes.
Saban said 20 Mill roster is what it takes. Soon it will be 30-40. Just go for it.

All we need is to go heavy after the louisiana boys! No need for those out of state divas. We would save a fortune and could put together an all star coaching staff of former lsu players as coaches. We would literally run college football if we stuck to the model. Woodard needa to get his head out his behind and start recruiting louisiana only!

Right, but if 12 mil was one kid, what does that leave for the rest. I don't know the financial situation, and I don't think anyone here does as well, but getting into bidding wars generally isn't a great strategy. Where LSU has messed up is not having backup plans ready when dudes drop, or believing they have someone in the bag and ignoring other interest.

There are some rumors flying around that some high level donors offered to up the anti on Underwood to $12M. BK chose not to go that route and brokered to utilize on full roster upgrades.
