Players that haven’t proven themselves are jumping in the portal for a pay raise. There needs to be some sort of value based on how you graded out for the year. Probably not a popular opinion with most people.

Each program has their own grading system.

Exactly. It’s much more NFL style these days relative to roster building. One team may be much more willing to spend on a corner for example than another team, some teams may be more willing to reach on potential than others. It’ll be fascinating to watch how Lane chooses to build LSU rosters.

They do. And they likely don’t like the grade they got by Lane and Staff, which is why they’re in the portal.

Yeah someone needs to pass this brilliant idea on to the recruiting folks.

Pretty sure the NCAA changed some rules regarding NIL. Can’t just pay a backup qb half a million anymore. Each deal over $600 goes thru a vetting process to make sure it’s the players actual value. How they are going to do that who knows, but I think some of these guys jumping in may be in for rude awakening.

While I love this change, I’m sure there are attorneys just waiting to sue the NCAA over this.

Appears to prioritize offensive skill positions and offensive coaching staffs so far

He has no clue who he's referring too. Any player who leaves LSU is obviously looking for a payday and any player we bring in is a great player looking for a fresh start.
