Watching him carve up Bama thru 4 with 6 Ks and no hits so far on the road as a freshman.

Noticed he has 1.93 era on the year.
Looked him up and he went to St.amant.
How did LSU not recruit this guy?

Apparently no one else recruited him. In the broadcast, they said he didn’t even have any juco offers when Nichols saw him and offered.

Similar situation with Tanner Hall when he was coming out of Zachary and went to USM.

Some guys just develop a little later than others or they don’t get the travel ball exposure.

I played last year at St. Amant with him. Late bloomer, didn't even make the HS team his freshman year. He works harder than anyone in the entire country and his play shows for it. Will be a first round pick in 3 years

He needs to leave Nicholls if he wants to be a first round pick.

It’s not too late for NILSU to swoop in and add to our pitching depth

His numbers may be bolstered by primarily playing lower-tier teams. That is not to say he isn't very good just don't expect him to have a sub 2.0 ERA if he comes to LSU. He may but don't expect it.

I get what you’re saying, but so far he has shown it against quad one schools as well.
His fastball is elite and he has a great complimentary breaking ball.
He might not be all world…..but he is definitely good SEC starter potential

Naming one guy doesn’t change the fact that he should leave Nicholls to be developed better and have a much greater shot at being a first round pick. Have you completely ignored the trajectory of Skenes career after transferring?

How much did he laugh while sending his son to pitch at LSU?

But not necessarily to LSU. Who's developing our pitchers?

Not true but if he comes to LSU and puts up those numbers, he will all but 100% be a first round

I know last year St Amant knocked Barbe out the playoffs and then lost in the finals to West Monroe, I think

There is some pitcher that transferred here who’s developed quite well recently. I can’t think of his name, however.

Kid doesn’t need LSU, if healthy he will be 1st round regardless of his school. He’s better than Skenes was as a freshman. Look at the numbers. Big schools will use and abuse him.

This makes no sense

Why would a big school abuse him and Nicholls wouldnt?
