Read to expect Surtain to be a Tiger, and Raymond may get a raise and extension.

Wasn’t both of these things pretty well known?

I’m not gonna pretend To know where he’s going but this is starting to feel a lot like Dylan Moses.

This nothing like Dylan, we haven't fired the HC that offered him as an 8th grader and then his primary recruiter a couple of months before signing day.

Exactly people don't want to see it but recruitment has fallen off believe it or not, your bought to witness it coming up with O.

Don't be stupid. O is a great recruiter. The class ranking this year is affected by a number of factors.
First and foremost, this is not a bumper year for Louisiana talent and LSU's bread and butter in Louisiana. The numbers were simply not there overall.
Second, O had to shore up the trenches and those recruits aren't as sexy and star studded. It was Miles who created the deficits on the lines.

I get that you and many don't like Orgeron or the decision to hire him. I wasn't thrilled either but he is the coach and he has to be given the chance. I got news for you, no one was overwhelmed and thrilled with Elmer Fudd when he was hired in 2005. He inherited a loaded program, which was on the rise. He sustained that success for a time but the program has fallen since that time. Can O right the ship? Who knows. Swinney had a losing season in his second year as HC at Clemson and people laughed at the decision to promote him. Somehow he turned it around. Maybe that will happen with O but I bet O doesn't haven't a losing season in 2018.

From Hank South, Bama’s 247 Recruiting guy “And to beat anyone to the punch on Patrick Surtain Jr. -- he is a guy I'm seriously considering Crystal Balling to Bama right now. Trying to gather a little more information on him before pulling the trigger, though.”

I wonder what happened to Hank's CB for Surtain? From the statement above it seemed imminent. Has the buzz from his Bama visit died down?

Probably waiting to hear how LSU’s inhome visit goes. As far as inhome visits go LSU has O Raymond and Aranda.
Bama is sending new dB coach Karl Scott who Surtain barely knows and Joe P(sp) who is likely moving to an off field role.

Raymond will secure Surtain. Foster is so dang close. I think he goes elsewhere. Chase chooses LSU. Can they get a different qb to flip last minute to LSU to help with depth? I surely hope so.

Watch for Miami on this one. Gonna be a tight finish but the canes will probably land him

Of all the possibilities with Surtain’s recruitment, this is the least likely.

Yes. LSU has been on this kid since middle school. We haven't invested this much effort on an out-of-state recruit since I don't know when, although Chaisson last year (although for just 1 year) was close. The relationship between Raymond and the Surtain family is so extraordinarily close that if he was not coming to LSU, I sincerely believe we would know it and LSU would have clearly moved on.

Kid is arguably the best defensive player and skill position player in this class. He's finishing out the process (and there's nothing wrong with that) - nothing is ever 100% - but he's as close as we can get for an OOS kid at this point in the process.

Perfectly said. If he goes to bama. They obviously paid him and his family’s family’s kids off.

Ace Midnight with the completely correct answer. The amount of trips to him and visits at LSU, the coaches we've thrown at him, it will all pay off.
