Of the kid wants to go to OU and get embarrassed in the playoffs when they actually face some real competition, then that’s on him. OU is a joke of a program in a Joke conference

Yeah but that's only because of their defense. Their offensive scheme is great.

Didn’t look “great” against us.

Oklahoma has always had a horrendous defense. Hurts was responsible for over 50 TD and 5000+ yards. He wasn’t a offensive liability by any means. You’re acting like he’s a slouch. Dude is a proven winner

This is why I'll never understand why somebody would go to OU until they prove they can be competitive on defense. These elite prospects can go to about a dozen schools and contend for a title with a history of good defense and win it all. OU hasn't proven they can hang consistently for almost 2 decades.

Because the most important thing to most of these kids is being drafted highly. Like it or not, for QBs, the best place for that to happen has been Oklahoma. Besides, even if a kid's number 1 criterion IS winning, there's only like 3-5 schools that rank above them there, regardless of shitty defense

But don t you think Caleb will commit to a school way before december?

At this point I don't see Caleb coming.

Minus any inside info I tend to agree. That being said, Gilbert wasn't coming here until he did and Chase was going to UF until he didn't.

17-18 year old kids and recruiting. No one knows and sometimes that includes the kids themselves.

Always is a very long time, so you’d be incorrect for the majority of their history.

Oh I agree with you. Everyone here is acting like NCs are all that make a QB good. I was just saying that Kyler and Baker are still studs, regardless of their postseason record.

I do think Hurts is a liability against great defenses, because he can't throw down the field consistently. He makes too many poor decisions with the football. However, he's still a good player.
