Apparently we aren't supposed to acknowledge these failures on Orgerons part. Although we were sold that he was gonna recruit like a mad man, now a top 20 class is ok. Filled needs, well except for two glaring positions, but don't look at that. Ignore the 5th in conference ranking too....we are closing the gap between us and bama. Coach O told us so.

Hell, apparently we are recruiting just as well as Clemson so we should expect a lot better on the field too. Can't have it both ways. Either he's underachieving on the field if we lose more than 2 games or he's not bringing in the talent we need if we lose more than that...can't really have it both ways. If he's really bringing in elite talent then it should show up on the field. If not then he's failing elsewhere. It's about results, not hype.

Why don't you start your own thread idiot.

This thread is not about you or how you feel about the last class or the LSU head coach. It is not one to cry about the stupid shite you make up in your head. It is about a recruit who visited this weekend and what he shared about how he feels about his visit and the LSU program.

You have done a good job trying to derail the thread. Your points and arguments suck but you have totally shite all over the thread and the good news the recruit shared.

CONGRATS !!!!! Hope you can ruin more threads with your crying and made up shite in the future.

And that's the typical response when you can't combat facts. Congrats on lacking the intellect the debate facts and logic. Not hard to see why you're a laughingstock on here.

You resort to name calling and saying people are making stuff up bc they point out the inconsistency in your views. It's just sad

Combat facts?

Your whole last post is a whine fest. Crying like a little bitch. There were no facts contained in the two paragraphs of tears. That was you crying for attention.

"Oh boo hoo, we can't bash the 1st year coach."

"Sniffle, sniffle, we are supposedly recruiting as well as Clemson, sniffle, sniffle."

"Oh poor, poor me."

Go whine on the Rant, the recruiting board is not the place for your crying.

Pickering and Sopsher would make for a pretty nice haul, as we will probably lose all three starting defensive linemen to the NFL after this season.

TOS national rankings for position groups

DT - tigers #3 - best in SEC
OL - tigers #9 - best in west

didn't have rankings for DE or LB yet.

You would be hard pressed to find another SEC school particularly in the west that signed a better front seven group than LSU.

LSU LOADED up at LOS in this class.

It is very possible that over the last three recruiting cycles ('16, '17 and '18) LSU has the best collective group of defensive signees of anyone in the SEC/country.

Does that mean you prefer a top 5 class made up of stud RBs, big fast WRs, lock down corners and NO BEEF?

That was Les's MO for years.

Lmao Derek. You're the one who keeps dickriding Clemsons recruiting rankings to support your weak point. You can't even keep up with your own weak argument can you?? You must be 13.

So we should expect similar results on the field then right??? I wonder why you've avoided that question about 3 times lol.

Look Derek, I'm just tired of the propaganda and hype. The great recruiter needs to do better. Miles got fired for doing a lot better so no I'm not gonna jump for joy bc good prospects show interest. Let's sign a top 5 class and then we can pat "our first year coach" on the back. We were promised great recruiting weren't we??

Just gonna keep being one of the voices of objectivity so we don't forget that not too long ago we demanded a lot better than this. A lot better.

When Ed is considered as good as Dabo,
then I'll find it acceptable. He worked his way up to classes like that. Ed is working his way down with classes like this.
quote:

Would have helped to sign more than Kelvin Joseph. LSU was hurt by Surtain's actions. Finding out at 11:00 pm the night before signing day that he wasn't coming.

One, Joseph is not a CB, he just has the range to play CB. Two, we had three true corners after both Kelvin and Donte declared, and signed ZERO in this class. The fact that he was waiting on one CB to save the entire class last minute is fricking inexcusable. We didn't and don't have the depth for that shite.
quote:

Really not that big of a deal. They have a sophomore 4-star, a freshman 4-star and a junior QB.
What happens if one transfers and the starter gets injured? You really think Narcisse with two prior knee injuries, or McMillan, a guy that has thrown the ball twice in 3 years, will be good to go for the year?

Like I said, if somebody transfers, we have no margin for error.

Can you just please stop taking up for Ed? He's screwed up many times already, and shouldn't be compared to anybody but his crappy self until proven otherwise.

Member when we wouldn't let posts about recruiting tidbits turn into rants about the program or coach (for many reasons) ? I 'member.

Thanks for the Pickering info. That's what this thread is about, right?

You need to be banned from the recruiting board. We don't need your negative input on this board. Bashing coaches here is not welcome. As a matter of fact, people like you are ruining this site. Take your hate elsewhere.

Could not agree more. All valid points. Nobody can argue this. All they can do is resort to insults and name calling lol. You can tell when you hit a nerve lmao

You forget that Clemson has something we haven't had: Great QB play. You can get away with 15th ranked classes a little as long as you have a top-notch QB. That's still a big question mark with LSU.

It also would have helped if Orgeron had offered Goodrich as he should have when Goodrich was ready to commit. It was a huge blunder to just assume Surtain, Jr. was a lock to LSU. Most competent coaches would have had a backup plan for this scenario.

And there's a good chance that whoever doesn't win the starting job will transfer. In today's college game, one should always look to sign a quarterback in every class. There's also no guarantee that the 4-stars will pan out. One only has to look at recent history of LSU QB's to know that.

He played cornerback two years and was a five star, then he got moved to safety his senior year, and he dropped down to a high 4 star. Yeah, he is not a CB, genius.

You are obviously not very bright. So, why don't you put yourself in O's shoes and explain to us exactly what he should have done instead, genius?
