He probably would have enjoyed the variety at Texas De Brazil rather than the overrated stuff at Ruth's.

Their steaks are really good. The only place I have found that was just as good is a place that had origins in Baton Rouge. There is a place in Lake Charles that was orginally a "DeAngelo's". It burned down and they rebuilt with the same owners but made it a little more upscale and renamed it
"121 Bistro". Their filet is absolutely amazing and their toppings probably, dare I say, better than Ruth Chris'..
If you are ever in Lake Chuck, go just down the road from St. Pat's hospital... A MAZ ING...

All of that being said, I am glad they pulled out all the stops for KY!

Long before the cliche restaurant chains, there was Ruth's . I ate there my first night as a recruit and as a host.

Ruth Chris' is a chain in the same way that Morton's or The Palm is a chain. I'm not saying Ruth Chris is on the level of a Morton's, but it's the same type of deal.

Yes, "one per town" chains are a little different than Chili's etc...

The guy I referenced is still living, maybe about 45- 50. May have had a couple locations. Probably the son. He was allegedly forced to sell back to the parent company. any idea what that was about?

It was Cane's that moved their HQ to Dallas.

And you would definitely need ketchup with that.

T.J. wasn't forced to sell, he got about $45 mil for selling all of his franchises which I know also included Nashville & chicago.

If a restaurant wraps their Filet in bacon an alarm should go off in your head to warn you about the terrible quality of the beef!

Mr. Moran was not involved in the Ruths out west. These were operated by Querouse. Seems something happened and he and his wife were forced to give up their franchises. Any idea why?
