I live 20 miles south of Texas/Oklahoma border and listen to both schools foolishness. If either wins a SEC title in 5 years in football I will take a TD lifetime ban.

Being outbid isn’t the same as out recruited.
Is bidding legal in the recruiting handbook? If the answer is yes then wouldn't bidding be part of the recruitment? Aren't we all bidding? Makes no sense to have sour grapes over being poorer or more frugle than another. But, whatever it takes to convince yourself you're your happiest self.

We have girl BB player with 3mill net worth. Texas is no way giving this kid 7 figured. If this kid comes here with his personality and also is next level on field nil will follow biggly. Plus big games big stars around campus, better teaching.

One dude gives a low confidence pick and everyone is melting?
None of these recruiting d-bags knows.
There are high profile guys who are “guessing” ut.
There are “high profile” guys guessing LSU.
None of them know.
Believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see….I’ll believe what they do. And if they do one thing then go against it, I’ll know what their character is.
What I know is this. ut has trouble in the big whatever conference they play in. An SEC schedule brutalizes everyone. It will be fun to see when they lose a late season game to a bottom feeder because they aren’t familiar with a season long SEC schedule.
If a recruit can’t see that, we can’t help them.

Pirate king is probably so excited right now he’s staring at himself in the mirror doing hook ‘em horns and learning the words to “eyes of Texas” in anticipation.
Obsession, get a life
If this plays out, hopefully the staff learns a valuable lesson about chasing elite out of state fish at this point of the BK era.

I've always said we should've given up on Perk.

Perkins has family ties here. Not even close to the same situation.

Ohhh here come the stipulations now. So what you're saying is we should never try to go after "elite out of state fish" as long as they've never stepped foot in the state or met anyone that's ever been to Louisiana.
Got it.

Family is often the biggest factor in a player’s decision, so yeah it’s an important stipulation.

Families can move, this is not about family. NIL is the name of the game in todays football world. It’s not fair because you have schools with tons of spending and huge boosters/alumni and then you have schools who don’t. You cannot blame an eighteen year old kid for picking a lot of $$ right out of highschool, if that is the case. Not saying LSU isn’t cutting him their piece of the pie but this kid wasn’t an LSU fan. He’s not from here so he doesn’t understand the culture and swagger of playing at LSU. He owes us nothing so let him go to UT and regress and turn into a forgotten name. Cause that’s what happens when you go to UT.

lol, Momma loves everyone. She LOVES jason taylor and loves Miami. I'd caution any "Momma loves...." sentiments.
That family plays the game well.
You can love everyone & you can prefer just one. Momma is also influenced by the one that may matter the most, her son.. and I'm not speaking of Collin.

He was never coming to LSU. My sources are rarely wrong and he has always been Texas. Just wanted to build up the hype for himself and his announcement, so had to create the illusion that he might go to LSU. LSU fell for it hook line and sinker.
Damn shame we win the west and can't even sign a 5 star in our recruiting class. This will hurt LSU. Can't compete with BAma, Georgia, OSU, etc. without consistently signing top 5 classes.

I don’t know if I would go far enough to say he was “never” going to LSU. If he wasn’t at a minimum entertaining the idea then he wouldn’t have visited as much as he did. We also know that there is almost a 100% chance he met with at least 1-2 people about NIL deals. Bottom line is that we more than likely will lose out on a kid that is going to a school in his home state. There are tons of teams that have the same problems trying to pull LA kids out. The unfortunate piece this year is that LA is weak by our standards, and our top 2 recruits seem to want nothing to do with us. I’m fine not landing Mack, sounds like he’s a little scared of the depth and comp in the DB room coming in. Feels like if we miss in Simmons we have to get McKinley. Yes, we should have some better players in the fold, but winning the West and still losing 4 games last year isn’t gonna get us the “hype” you think it is. We need sustained success. This program has been borderline a dumpster fire for the 2-3 years post 2019 NC. Since we don’t have the money, we need sustainability and consistency before we can start really pulling the big fish IMO.

Nobody believes you have sources, much less reliable ones.
Hearing voices in your head is not a source. If it were, I want the ghost of Charles Manson on our staff.

This would be a shock based off all the visits and interest, but wouldn't be b/c money always trumps. NO other reason for UT unless the bag is really big.
So if that is the case, pick up the bags and put them on McKinleys doorstep.

Just now catching up I see Roach went from 4 to 6 on confidence

The guy has been recruiting for us for weeks now. He loves Texas. We don’t need to be hyperbolic just because he might like LSU a bit more. If he goes to Texas its not like hes going to secretly keep a picture of mike the tiger in his wallet.
Worst case scenario LSU gets a second chance in a year when Sark gets fired.
