Kim Mulkey was on OTB this morning talking about how she doesn’t scapegoat staff or enjoy firing anyone, and how unlike football, she believes everything falls on her shoulders. Which, obviously we’re talking about two very different sports, but this example makes her look very good.
Yeah but coaching basketball and coaching football are waaaaaay different. There’s far less positions and players. It would be impossible for one person to successfully coach an entire football team. One person could successfully coach a basketball team. Calipari has been doing it for years.

I thought it was hilarious when people this year would talk about how Michigan only throws the ball 15 times a game with a walk on at QB, as if the offense wouldn’t be more dynamic with Underwood behind center.
At their peak in 23 and with Moore as OC JJMc threw for 2990 which aint bad but they ran the ball for 2000 plus and JJ was like 100 of those yds. Also their rushing TDs were 2:1 to passing. Yes, they won the NC but my point is that the players of today want to run the style like LSU ran in 2019 and 2023. Michigan does not possess that playbook at this time and if they go get one they will have to learn to use it. Think of 2018 LSU and 2019 LSU. Ensminger knew he needed to change but knew he could not do it himself.

BK will wait too long before firing Sloan and trying to sort thru leftovers for a great OC.
Nothing in his history indicates this will happen

Imagine a parent knowingly pushing their kid in to that situation for a few extra mil.
When they are able to see what NFL QBs are making and you were heading to a, at minimum, stable situation.
I’m not gonna root against a teen athlete but man the Underwood’s are shortsighted. Even if it all works out, they are so, so shortsighted.
