Most improved player from the A10 last season.

Things are looking up for next season

Looks like he’s a grad transfer maybe but could have 2 years left. Good scorer but not a shooter.

I'm just not understanding the roster construction from CMM. Jalen Reed and Robert Miller will be the 2 biggest guys on the team...

We have Chest as well. We needed guys with the ability to drive and create.

Going guard heavy I guess. We’ve added talented guys, but I agree we are missing a bit of size. Do we even have room for a big man now?

We need guards that can create on offense. Our offense was way too stagnant last season. Too many big guys and not enough athleticism

Yeah I get that but there needs to be a balance. Looks like CMM just completely overcorrected and went guard heavy instead of trying to build a balanced roster.

Would assume this is our last scholarship spot which is interesting.
We really needed a big, so I guess at this point we're only getting a Hunter Dean type to walk on and take NIL I guess?
Would have been smarter IMO to get that scholarship big and maybe add a guy like this who is really just depth at best as the walk on with NIL.
Just dont know how you feel THAT good about the 4/5 spots with only Chest, Reed, Collins, Fountain and the freshman Miller.
Now Miller actually being a starter and playing like one right away would be a huge reprieve there but I just dont know how you have the confidence in the other guys to give you enough quality minutes. Frankly Collins and Reed need to take some pretty big leaps for that to happen.

Looks like this will be the longest and most athletic team CMM has had. Nice to see what looks like some willing defenders in the mix as well.
Not really worried about the height on the current roster, three guys listed at 6'10, one at 6'9 and one at 6'8. A little worried about the lack of thickness, but hey maybe these guys motors, athleticism, and want to can make up for that. We will see!

If LSU was a good rebounding team last year I would agree with this. But LSU was not a good rebounding team, 149th in RPG, 185th in rebounding margin. I would imagine this team will be more athletic with Miller/Chest/Collings replacing Dean/Baker so it could work out hopefully

Have you guys watched Alabama shoot and run us off the floor.

No doubt, definitely agree with the concern over not having a bigger more traditional guy in the post. Guess he's hoping athleticism and some major help on the boards from guards will play up.

This guy is not a shooter at all

It is also worth noting that Glen West reported that LSU is operating as though they have one more roster spot available. CMM may be trying to use that spot to get some size

Its not really just needing a "Traditional big" in my mind. It's just having a really capable guy there. With what we have now, do we even have that consistently? Reed seems to be the only guy who could get there, but he has been hyper inconsistent. The freshman could be a surprise, but McMahon hasnt had much success with freshmen in year 1 in that sense.
It feels like we have 4-5 rotational bigs but not "the guy" if you will.

Yea sorry I should have clarified. Didn’t really mean like a back to the basket stiff, just phrased what you are saying in a poor way. Traditional in the sense that “hey he’s our big guy that we are gonna depend on for 30 minutes a night”

It’s hypothetically like playing a men’s version of South Carolina, if shots aren’t falling we will.

Not the wing I wanted, definitely not a bad pickup.
We will not be signing a traditional big, I've been saying this.

No, we won't, the majority of the big man rotation is set. Reed will be the 5 next year.
