I think Wade has had this locked down for a bit now.

I’m sorry if true he wasn’t there that’s extremely petty and going to be something he regrets.

He’s missing his kids commitment ceremony to a major SEC program because he doesn’t like Wade.

That’s going to be a decision he regrets in a few years but will never get the chance again.

If I had to guess his dad was offered his own bag if he could sway his son from LSU.

Definitely seems like it now.

I just know that there’s times to take your stand as a parent and there’s times to give you kids advice but if they pick something different even if you think it’s not the best decision you still put your feelings aside and celebrate with them.

Picking LSU over Louisville (or any other option) ain’t the time to make that stand.

Particularly in the free transfer era.

It’s like not showing up to watch your kid walk at graduation because they chose Georgia tech over Stanford against your advice.

ETA I’m sure he’s got his reasons to justify it in his mind but I bet he’s going to regret it in a few years

Skyy Clark remains eligible:

This is good news. However, this closely follows how the TRO went: the judge granted the TRO, the Appeals Court denied the emergency stay request, and then the 3-judge panel dissolved the TRO.

The next hurdle will be for this to get past the 3-judge panel. The panel ruled pretty quickly the first go round.

From what I can tell, the interlocutory appeal here is about an 8-week process. I wouldn't read too much into the first reversal, that seemed to be largely on procedural grounds, not the actual merits of the decision. The procedural issue appears to have been resolved.

We should safely have Skyy through the non-conference at this point. Once the interlocutory appeal is denied, we will have him the rest of the way.

The good news on Dent is that the California appeal process is a full appellate review, which is at least an 8–10-month process. He should be good for the rest of the season.

Any idea why Clark switched from the CA case to the KY case?

it is not clear why he moved cases. Maybe to spread the risk, i.e. you don't have all your eggs in one basket. Also, at the time he joined the Kentucky case, prevailing thought was that Mark Mitchell was headed to Kentucky, so he was hoping that being in a case with a Kentucky player and Louisville player pending in Kentucky gave him some advantage.
