McMahon will easily land a mid major job next season if he wants it based upon hi s recrod prior to LSU.
I know a lot of people bring up his success at Murray State, but he took over a very successful mid major and he actually led them to the first losing season since 1986-1987 season. He had solid success as well, but that was fairly typical of Murray State. It could be argued that his losing season and another .500 season would arguably qualify him as the worst Murray State coach in the last 4 decades.

I don't understand why it's so hard to read between the lines in situations like this.

If you're replying to me with my questions, then very simply- I'm not trying to read between the lines. I'm trying to find out what's currently known, vs assumptions that haven't yet occurred or played out.

Fair enough. But as big of an LSU fan as I am, I like to speculate UNTIL we find out.

I read the Kiffin and Wade situations pretty spot on in regard to our pursuit of each coach. Every day that passed convinced me more that we were hiring each of them. You can check my post history back then if you doubt me.

And I understand I could be completely wrong about Luis. I just don't think I am.

So fricking what. He was very succesful there over a seven year period. If he was that bad he would have had multiple losing seasons and been fired. Some of you people love negative spin.

You conveniently left out that he was succeeded at Murray by the formerly very successful head coach that he ahd replace and the former successful coach was 45-52 and 20=31 MVC and was terminated. Sometimes second go rounds don't work as well as the first. Take heed.

The what is you said he would easily get a mid major job due to his previous success. I stated the fact that he had a losing season and a .500 season which is something none of the other previous coaches had done since 1987. I know facts hurt your brain and shouting about the looming draconian sanctions of losing 1 scholarship is what really did him in.

Also, that’s not negative spin, I clearly said he had success as well, but it’s another fact that both of the previous two coaches prior to CoachMc matched his high of a 31 win season. It certainly wasn’t something unheard of for them. If anything you come from a completely slanted and bias stance and ignore things that actually happened in lieu of your hypotheticals.

You cherry picked one season against six others to try to make a point. Np. a-hole, I am making a salient point unlike your stupid arse irrelevant comments.

Its alsao interesting that some of you got the coach you wanted for over a year yet you still continue to talk about the coach who is no longer here. THOSE ARE THE PEOPLE SKULL frickING THE THREAD.
THIS IS WADE'S frickING TEAM REGARDLESS SO frickING FOCUS ON WHAT HE IS DOING.AND WHAT HE ACHIEVES GOING FORWARD. HE HAS EIGHT PLAYERS ON THE ROSTER , HALF OF WHOM HAVE THEIR ELIGIBILITY IN QUESTION.

That literally has nothing to do with CoachMc’s stint at Murray State and the state of the program he inherited. That has to do with Prohm.

You said McMahon's success was built on the prior coaches successes. So why wasn't it so easy for Prohm to keep the train rolling?

Again, that’s irrelevant to CoachMc’s tenure. My point clearly is that CoachMc didn’t build Murray State into a successful program. He maintained it with more lows than the last ~4 decades of head coaches. Prohm’s second stint failure has nothing to do with CoachMc easily getting a mid major next year due to all his past success at Murray State. He has a total of 5 seasons with a winning conference record in 11 seasons as a head coach. I’m not saying he won’t get another HC job, but you act like AD’s will be breaking his door down to hire him.

I replied to you talking about CoachMc and the skewed ridiculousness you always post about draconian sanctions, all the massive injuries, zero players, etc. I wouldn’t have said anything about CoachMc if you didn’t make your post about CoachMc.

Back to the actual topic, I don’t see anyone important really panicking, it all has to play out and there are multiple parties involved.

I would say Luis Jr. being on campus and practicing would offer some optimism and he was considered the most questionable for qualification.

I didn't just suddenly decide to insert McMahon into the thread. There was a multip[le post conversation going between everal posters before I made any comments. I was responding to Alt 26 sith relevant points, While I may disagree with him he always supports his arguments as I also do. Again, I diodn't start that fire, but I brought some smoke.

Its high time McMahon disappears from all threads aboput LSU basketball. Ther eis an insatiable need for a villain for many of the posters on here and they just can't seem to let go of McMahon, Its Wade's program nowand what he does from recruiting to coaching will determine how successful the program will be. Based upon his prior history there is reason for optimism, but its not a sure thing. This is a much tougher league than he left it and hopefully he can begin recruiting players with known eligibility.
