He has to beat out 1 guy that hasn't taken a snap in CFB. Not terribly hard to believe this could happen. Johnson is the real deal!

You guys have lost your mind if you think anyone is talking the starting job from Brennan. None the backups are elite start as freshman type players.

He won't start the season but if things go poorly at home against UT and a rowdy home crowd...

Unless we sign King after spring football, Brennan will have no competition for the starting spot. If we get King/some other GT, I think that would mean the job is open and Brennan didn't nail. I think Brennan will not only win the job but I think he will exceed expectation.

This offense is designed for QBs like Brennan not King or Parrish. I do wonder if they will play Parrish some next year, I haven't heard anything about him.

The offense is designed for a DT QB. Burrow has shown flashes of it but the pistol is best suited for a DT QB like the Ravens and LJ

So then why did we recruit Parrish then?

Parish was signed prior to the offense being changed.

Not saying he can’t run it or isn’t good.

From a physical standpoint he is probably going to be the 2nd best qb on campus as soon as he arrives. The mental part of the game is what will determines where he falls on the depth chart.

After Myles there isn't anyone who has stepped foot in Death Valley to play. I hope Parrish has improved. I heard he has/had some accuracy problems. Hopefully he has improved enough for Coach E and Brady to use him. If not it seems Johnson, being a former NFL player's son would have a leg up mentally on Finley. We will see.

We shall see. Look at the great high school QBs we had last year that really couldn't cut it at LSU.

Hopefully they will. Brennan's the man!

Is Drew Brees a DT QB?

Sure it helps to be able to run but this offense is for a QB that can make fast reads and get the ball out of his hands fast.
