TJ and Max will have the opportunity to take the job from Myles.

yeah. A true freshman is gonna start for the defending national champions over a 4th year Junior and 2nd year Freshman who both have experience with the offense and the program already

The spring will tell us what we need to know. We can’t get a grad transfer until after May, so if the staff is shopping, then we know they don’t feel totally confident in Brennan. If they aren’t, then you know they feel good about him going into next year.

As for backup, Parrish will certainly have the inside track over any freshman who isn’t an early enrollee. It isn’t impossible for him to be beaten out, but it won’t be easy before opening day.

This offense is designed for QBs like Brennan not King or Parrish. I do wonder if they will play Parrish some next year, I haven't heard anything about him.

Please explain that statement. King would kill in this offense. Parrish nor Brennan have shown they would excel in the offense on the college level. Parrish has not played at all and Brennan has not been impressive when he has played.

We rarely run the pistol formation. The offense is designed for someone who can read a defense, make decisions, and throw quickly and accurately.

Burrow executed only spades. Only deficiency was five or six underthrown deep balls all year.

Burrow ran effectively in big games

But gaining time and passing lanes by moving his feet was a huge plus.

After Myles there isn't anyone who has stepped foot in Death Valley to play. I hope Parrish has improved. I heard he has/had some accuracy problems. Hopefully he has improved enough for Coach E and Brady to use him. If not it seems Johnson, being a former NFL player's son would have a leg up mentally on Finley. We will see.

The standard response when it comes to DT QBs. "I heard they had accuracy issues." It was used against TJ, Caleb Williams and King as well. You do know Johnson had accuracy problems last year with a terrible completion percentage, right? His was lower than TJ's. Oh yeah I forgot, you guys said he played on a bad team.
