The problem isn't the media (message boards, radio shows). The problem is what is happening on the field and on the sidelines. If you don't like what people are saying, then attack the real problem and not the amplifier. If you don't like what you hear from the different media outlets, then crawl in a cave and pretend like everything is perfectly fine. Pretending like nothing is wrong and refusing to address real issues only feeds the problem.

Because you act as if there is just one source of negativity for LSU fans...
I definitely agree. Negativity is going to come out through numerous outlets. Just so happens TigerDroppings has become the biggest one for LSU.

Chicken I feel that you should have an absolute zero tolerance for any negativity on this board. So what if it changes the landscape of this site. This is obviously hurting us in some form or fashion.

Do you think that recruits limit their searches to this board? Certainly they scan the rant to see what the mood is like once they might sign. Inappropriate personal attacks and unfounded rumors have never been tolerated on this site. You can always RA anything you think is over the top. If more people on the board would use the RA function more, you would help the administrators and improve the board.

Less censorship is what makes this board so great. A lot boards suck because the mods censor it so much, that it is just one big circle jerk. There is never any discussion.

Well Chicken, you can't have it both ways. Either TD is widely read and therefore has influence, or it's not relevant. You know it's impossible to provide proof of any given negative result of the nonsense that is posted here, but to suggest that 2 weeks of LSU and Miles bashing did not have ANY effect on those, recruits included, reading this board is either naive or dishonest.
I'm pretty sure TD did not cause LSU to lose a recruit on its own, but it sure as heck didn't help in any way.

I'm accomplishing not letting Miles or the coaching staff off the damn hook. And I'll be damned if I'm going to sit by silent while others point to message boards and other media as the reason why recruits are leaving.
I support the program. I've been to all the BCS games. I got in a fight with a Bama prick on the way out the dome who was talking shite. It wasn't good enough that they won the game. They had to be complete classless jack asses about it too.
I understand your point. But I'm not on some crusade to get everyone to hate Miles. I'm not going to let him off the hook though. Someone needs to hold him accountable because most of what he says is complete bullshite and contradicts his coaching decisions.
Does our team look good for next year? Absolutely and I'll fully support them.
Do I think people need to hold Miles more accountable? Hell yes.
