He named LSU as his leader and then took other visits. Crystal ball projections are educated guesses, not an exact science.

Dang, he's shutting it down, too! Nice!

Nice offer list

No kidding. He's got offers from just about everyone. Looks like the kind of offer list you'd see for a high 4* or 5* kid.

Very odd for the supposed #31 CB to have that kind of offer list. Ohio St, Alabama, Oklahoma, Georgia you name it he could’ve gone anywhere. Clearly underrated. Big get for us.

you've followed recruiting long enough to know that those lists aren't always accurate

Where’s he originally from? I keep seeing things about him “coming home”. Displaced by Katrina?

On Sunday, Houston cornerback Marcus Banks gave his verbal commitment to LSU head coach Ed Orgeron and the Tigers. Banks committed to LSU over double-digit other scholarship offers, including Alabama, Texas A&M, Texas and more.

The Aggies held all the 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions heading into the weekend, and the Tide were set to host the Texas standout on an official visit next week. Instead, Banks has shut things down and gotten on board with the Tigers.

SEC Country Article
quote:

“I had an idea that it would be between Alabama and LSU, and that those would be my top two,” Banks told SEC Country on Sunday. “I didn’t plan on committing, but I had an idea that I might. I was highly interested in LSU and the visit made it way better. I love the coaches and how Coach O puts no pressure on me at all.

“We didn’t talk about football — mainly about grooming me to be a better man and talking family and being comfortable up there. Like I said, there was no pressure, just a family feeling and my relationship with Coach Raymond getting stronger every time I come up there.”
