I love Aggie misery as much as anyone, but didn't we hear the exact same thing last year?
You do realize one year of this nonsense, okay, give it a pass, but two years of this crap? You don't think parents see this? They are wasting 5 star talent left and right. What is Drelon Miller seeing at TAMU as far as offense goes? What is he seeing at LSU?

I really want some defensive tackles though.

Backing up to Walter Bob again, I recall as a senior Alabama offered him early and other SEC schools showed interest. But it was known his grades would mean he would be a JUCO recruit.

Now two years later, is he getting offers from any SEC, ACC or Big 12 schools? And do any of you think he could compete for a starting job at LSU?

The question is "Do you want to earn your money and win or be given money and never be in contention?"

Sounds like it won't take long for Miller to decommit from A&M. They're working Bussey hard right now as well.

their staff poster, Ryan Brauninger, had this to say this morning

A lot more LSU momentum emanating from southeast Texas this morning.

Captain, I've been told that LSU is still very much in play with Bussey, he is in consistent contact with LSU and is very much listening. Things are not on solid ground with A&M struggling. Terry has said that if Jimbo gets fired there will be a bunch of guys decommit and start looking around.

I know this is the recruiting board, but is there really rumblings of this? Isn't his buyout still like $75 million?

Oh I definitely get there's a difference between this year and last year, but it's not just 1 or 2 years. Jimbo is in year 7 and still hasn't produced meaningful results, yet they continue to get top recruits to sign there.

Boosters keep bailing him out by shelling out money to land top classes.

Obviously many of the boosters are getting tired of the lackluster results, but do they actually have the stones to pull funding and allowing the class to totally fall apart? This is the part I'm skeptical about. There's a big difference between being pissed about the coaching performance and submarining recruiting.

There’s questions about if they finish 7-5 if he will be retained.

Do you believe this? My feeling is he's got at least another year or two where he promises serious changes to the offensive staff/philosophy.

Psychologically, it's not easy to totally cut bait from him. He's owed a shite ton of money and has recruited extremely well. Plus he's got that snake oil salesman in him that can probably fast talk enough of the money guys into keeping the faucets open a little longer.

Personally I think he is going to come back for 2024 because that's when their GOAT class will be juniors.

The other side of it is that the TexAgs folks are talking about the class falling apart and they're the sunshine pump group. If they're saying it then there's real problems in Aggieland.

He's an insane athlete. He would start day one at CB and punt returner for us. If it came down to getting either him or Miller, I'd take Bussey without hesitation.

And Jimbo has a $77 million buyout. He's not going anywhere, even if they finish 7-5.
