“Let's talk about that weekend of Sept. 7, when all three of Knox, Bourrage, and Johnson took their official visits together. It became clear over that weekend they wanted to play together and they also did not seem thrilled about sharing the court with Chavez for four years. At the time, LSU was still recruiting Chavez heavily, creating further indecision across the board, but the three remained close and once LSU dropped Chavez, it opened the path for the trio to reunite and all commit to the Tigers. Each one had their own recruitments and schools, but LSU became even more appealing.”

Thanks a bunch!
Sounds like the other ladies either think Chavez is full of herself, or maybe a ball hog. Either way, I'm glad things worked out the way they did.

& Richard was highly overlooked. LSU has their PG of the future in my opinion. Think they’ll add a quality big in the portal. LSU will most likely be preseason #1 next season.

Jada Richard
Flaujae Johnson
Mikaylah Williams
Sa’myah Smith/Portal
Del Rosario/Sa’myah Smith

Zakiyah Johnson
Grace Knox
Mjarcle Sheppard
Jersey Wolfenbarger
Kailyn Gilbert
Bella Hines
Divine Bourrage

Top to bottom this will be the most talented roster Mulkey has ever assembled. I wouldn’t rule out Knox and/or Jersey starting as a stretch 4. I’m hoping by her Junior season Rosario has settled in.

I still contend a big part of our recruiting misses last season was Mulkey not being able to recruit over the summer.

also, i think you can sometimes expect a lull after picking up a large recruiting class like they did in 2023. i think it's hard to get a full reload of high school seniors if they know they are coming to sit behind a solid group of freshman that may occupy starting positions for years. we may see a similar lull again after getting such an amazing incoming class for 2025. it just depends on if a top 100 recruit is willing to come play/learn behind someone or not. seems like in today's world, that is not always the case...

Great point and don't forget Angel Reese and Hailey Van Lith could also be on this team as well as the two freshmen players who left after one season.

Olivia Vukosa (#5 player 2026) is a 6'5 center who will be in attendance for LSU's game tonight with Carolina Bradley (6'5 Post) #5 player of 2027 as well as the Alabama game tomorrow

So some big recruits on hand, there was supposed to be a couple more in attendance but some of the visits got moved around

Exactly. Mulkey had health problems but either way, she got more personally involved after the Redus whiffs.

357, do you have any update, inside info, on what is going on with POA without jeopardizing her personal situation? Her PG and defensive experience will be an important part of our success this season.

Thank you Jim. Just found out Kim said Poa will start practicing with the team today Wed. Glad she is back. Her PG experience will be very helpful for the team.
