If you consistently finish in the top six or seven, add a few key transfers, and have great coaching and development, you can absolutely win national championships.
LSU has all those things, and the recruiting will only get better with sustained success. We're just fine.

We currently have a freshman 5 star edge rusher getting manhandled by 3 and 4 star OL in practice.
Recruiting sites make money with subscriptions, not accurate player ratings. We’ll be fine even if we don’t sign a player that the nerds at 247 or On3 are gushing over.

Agree but we need some DT and Edge rushers in this class.

That is correct. My point is that it’s worthless to judge our class vs other school’s classes based on # of 5 stars committed

Bama has owned this last two decades with 5 stars.
If you want the sustained top 5 in the rankings every year type of production, you need multiple elite 5 stars.

Will definitely be behind Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Florida, Florida State, Clemson and Tennessee as a starting point.
The fight will be to see if we can finish 8th. Michigan, Penn State, Notre Dame, Oregon, USC, Auburn, Texas and Texas A&M all pose challenges.
My guess is we finish 11th.
