You’ll start seeing more large programs start to take in guys with traits that can be developed.
The new high school recruiting model is pay for the ones who will help you immediately, and pay less for guys who you can develop to potentially play in 2-3 years. Supplement the roster with Transfers after that once you see where the holes in the team are

Don’t really think we need it. Aidan hall has looked great as a freshman at that position, and have plenty of young safeties that can easily transition to star.
That’s assuming baker stays, baker is keen on the star position.
If baker leaves, the next DC may not have a star position in his scheme.

Recruiting evaluations get worse every year. I trust Lane to scout guys that can play. Landing fast risers in senior years is a really good thing when we’re talking about 18 year olds still growing.
