Goodluck to Moses and his family. I remember his dad posting here when I lurked. Seemed like a standup man that wants the best for his child.

This

We seriously need to move on and let it go.....A new ERA of LSU football is starting and we want the guys that want to be a part of that.

Moses chose to not be a part and LSU needs to make him regret that decision. Beat Bama and it'll work itself out.

Once he de-committed that was it. He said he would be a Tiger and stay committed as long as Miles was the coach, well he de-committed when Miles was the coach. So he was never coming here.

If you didn't have your head up your arse you might know more about my thought processes. I didn't criticize Moses for his decision. I merely pointed out reasonable consequences of the decision. The paragraph preceding your quote expressly stated that Moses has the right to make decisions he feels are in his best interest. What trailer park was I thinking about when I wrote that?

Dylan Moses, and his family, are entitled to make decisions they feel are in their best interests. LSU fans, and Baton Rouge residents, are entitled to comment on those decisions. Expressing displeasure at the Moses family for ingratitude may be unwise, but it is not unfair. Dylan was afforded opportunities in Baton Rouge that were not given to children without his athletic abilities. The Moses family has turned its back on LSU and Baton Rouge. They should expect reciprocity. They can look to IMG and the residents of Tuscaloosa, their new communities, to replace the support of the LSU and Baton Rouge communities they spurned.

And, that is exactly how it is.

I'm sure the Moses family are quality people, but to the victor go the spoils. When you enter the world of HS recruiting like they did, you open yourself up to all that comes with it.

In 10 years, no one will give a damn.

Saban is pumping LSU recruits with the Les Miles saga and the uncertainty of a head coach

Obviously. But Saban's real line is he is the smartest coach in the country. He knows whether to buy a dress or not buy one on the number of times you plan on wearing it.

Aside from all the fan feelings, don't their comments feel unusual? What I mean is...doesn't it feel to anyone else like they pretty much knew where he was going and then he did something he said he wasn't going to do?

Both of their comments read like they knew way more than we did, and they were caught completely off guard by what he did. The kid has been up Fournette's arse for many years and inside the program like one of Miles' kids. Hard to believe he wasn't telling them one thing while clearly doing another...and they seem surprised by that.

Frick that, I don't want this punk. He doesn't deserve to wear an LSU jersey, and he's dug too big of a whole to flip back to LSU now... would have a huge chip on his shoulder with the way he has handled his recruitment process. He needs to pack his bags and never come back. Stay out of Louisiana please

Come on people. Dylan is a great kid that is doing what is best for Dylan! We should all just nut up and pull for Dylan at Bama.

I enjoy reading this type of response, because we celebrate when a player flips to LSU after being committed to other schools.

I'm not angry about Moses' decision. My comments were addressing the reactions of why some LSU fans are angry, and why that anger is reasonable.

Dylan Moses, with the apparent backing of his parents, decided that it is in his best interests to leave Baton Rouge to finish high school at IMG Academy in Florida. (Since University High does not allow early graduation I can understand Moses' desire to attend a high school that does.) Dylan Moses, with the apparent backing of his parents, has decided it is in his best interests to play football at Alabama. Why is it unreasonable for people who have made every effort to give Moses opportunities in Baton Rouge, not made available to kids lacking Moses' athletic abilities, to be upset that Moses appears to have taken those opportunities for granted?

Then u r part of the problem. Any Louisiana kid that goes to Bama over LSU I pray and wish for something different. It is like u train N employee for years and as soon as he is worth a shite he jumps to your biggest competitor. And u wound wish him well? WTF, are you a girl or 12 year old?

Miles being fired was simply a great cover for him committing to a school he was already going to commit too. It would have seemed more like a "stab in the back" if Miles was still here. Not shocking at all. Time to move on....
