I believe it was actually 1995 when Haynesville beat WM in WM. The Rebels beat Haynesville 21-7 the year prior and won state that year. In 95 I want to say Ouachita ended up winning 5a.

Blurb about him from KTBS.

“His bloodline is no stranger to football. His cousins Doug and Demetric Evans both landed successful careers in the NFL, also products of Haynesville High.

Evans, who was raised by his father Franklin, after his mother died giving birth to him, says her spirit has its own way of inspiring him to achieve amazing things.”

Demetric Evans was recruited out of Haynesville in the mid 90’s. He was one of the top recruits in the state that year. DiNardo was able to keep a lot of talent in state, but he signed with Georgia.

Just today I was talking w/ a family member of Detetric's. I was told that although he went to GA, he later always wished he'd gone to LSU. Demetric played 10 yrs in the NFL, mostly w/ the Redskins. He now works w/ the NFL Players Association.
