2019 is too far away with the way the kids flip flop nowadays.

Haynesville is a football hungry small town that the vast majority of posters on here couldnt find on a map. These kids are raised, so he wont be flipping and playing games like those NOLA kids do.

He's the first one I can remember being recruited by LSU.

This is kid is a diamond in the rough. I'm from Haynesville and have been watching him the past 2 years. Tigers got a good one. Strong and very quick off the ball for a big man! Still not finished growing he will be around 6'3 315lbs by the time he gets to college.

I agree completely! Heck, even a commitment a week prior to NSD is premature to celebrate these day's. Following LSU's recruiting efforts is a hobby I find interesting, and at one time I did get somewhat excited when a player commits early. But now, after so many changed their minds and brought about disappointment, I don't really care if a player commits or not. Nobody knows what they will get on NSD until NSD is over. Far too many like Dylan Moses, Felipe Franks etc. etc. to get excited over a commitment. Look what Womack did a couple years ago. Committed to LSU until NSD or a day before and ended up at Ala-frickin-bama on NSD. It's nice to see a player commit early like this, but at the end of the day, it don't mean shite. (please excuse my language) Now, it they allowed these players to sign the day they commit, then I'd get more excited about an early commit.

Is he related to Doug Evans? Former Haynesville Tornado who played cornerback for the packers.

Great news. Really want to believe that we can start having defensive line that's just scary.

Demetric Evans was recruited out of Haynesville in the mid 90’s. He was one of the top recruits in the state that year. DiNardo was able to keep a lot of talent in state, but he signed with Georgia.
