Actually, I don't think it is that cut and dried. Does money mean a lot these days? Of course it does. But on the margins, relationships still matter if the money is close. And Ryan Day along with a lot of other coaches think Ed Orgeron is the best DL coach in college football. Once again, the money has to be in the same area code, but I don't believe for 1 second that that the highest bidder is going to win every time. It is NOT as simple as that IMO.

Its what you said but also with Tech its not complete roster building..If its about money they throw the bag at recruits rated high at each position and dont necessarily worry about quality depth so they can overpay.

Yea that doesn’t move the needle at all for me unfortunately in today’s recruiting. As a matter of fact him wearing LSU gear all the time in workouts makes me think he’s even more likely to stick with Texas Tech. Because I’m sure that’s just a scheme to get Tech to drive up the price to keep him. I’ve seen this movie many times with these five stars lately.
